The second "A" really caught my attention, so I looked up the uncial alphabet, but the "A" was very different. Am I looking it up correctly? Is there a modern day uncial alphabet as opposed to an older dialect?

@tashaok You can get calligraphy pens and sets in art supply stores (Don't know if you live in the US, but Michael's sells them). There are dipping pens and cartridge pens. Both produce very nice writing.

There are courses being offered at places like community colleges.....take a look. That's how I learned. Those pens can be found in any art store. (a decent one) Wait till you experience the special paper to be used. It's got a very thin sort of plaster film on it so if you make a mistake you scratch it out using a little knife and write again. This is a wonderful thing to learn. You can use it on your Christmas gift cards for example. Or frame a great saying with art on it too.

Just go google "dip pen", and get the one for calligraphy. The most commercialized one is the speedball one, though (arguably) better ones can be found on specialty websites.

It is a pen bought from Germany, I Have a six of them myself, all with different nibs. I use them quite often. You can get them off the net. Just go to Google, and type Calligraphy Pens.

@isucz u could get an ink one without dipping it in ink at like micheal's for like 2 bucks or like 5 for a thick one,i discovered that the think ones are alot easier to use then the skinny one, i guess u can get more detail from the thin ones or so i havent been able to try it for a lil while, ima have to start up again.
