  • Don't miss earnhardt one bit!

  • @webman4888 I agree. However, winning by cheating or similar is being a loser.

  • @webman4888 He did, but it would've been a better win if he didn't do it. or even held the second place. But this is the difference from the racing I am used to :) (F1 and open wheelers in general)

  • @webman4888 Wrong. That's how you drive when you are out of any kind of legal options of getting past the guy in front.

  • Well the fact that bobby moved dale to get around doesn't surprise me that Dale wrecked him and if Bobby really did spin him 20 laps before pay back is a bitch.

not that am am sad to see a Hendrick car spin LOL I hate Hendrick hate them

  • Dale Earnhardt is cool because all of his aggressive and impatient moves are praised by everyone while any other dirty racing is called "cheap" because it probably had something to do with Dale Jr. not winning a race (going on 3 years now?)

  • Dale Sr. was not the most popular guy among other drivers. Some downright hated him. A friend who worked in public relations for William Morris told me that many drivers were not that broken up about his death. But Jr & his sister, are really well liked.

  • If you remember correctly, Labonte spun Dale out 20 or so laps before that. Payback's a bitch!!

  • He WRECKED him! Sr was a DIRTY driver...if he couldn't out run you cleanly he would "put you in the wall"

  • @DatThangGottaHemi omg my friend said the exact same thing XD

  • if u got passed on the last lap u would be mad too he was just tryin to get him loose so he could get under him and ended up pushing him outta the way

  • fucking dick move

  • rattlin the cage

  • I watched this race. Dale said after the race that he didn't mean to wreck him, that he was just trying to "rattle his cage" a little bit. I don't think Dale meant to wreck Terry either, but there is no doubt he meant to hit him enough to loosen his back end and move him up the race track. A note to all the Dale haters, Jeremy Mayfield did the same thing to the 3 car at Pocono after that, and when asked about it, he said, he was only trying to "rattle Dale's cage". Karma indeed.

  • @jomofo67 I loved that. My favorite race at Pocono ever!

  • Not enough races that's for sure! If Dale was still alive he would have 50 more wins under his belt and in the same awesome fashion!

  • BS he couldn't win jack before he pasted away. lucky he lived as long as he did with his reckless driving. that and his disregard for safety

  • he was 2nd in the points the last year he raced. he was 3 points away from an 8th championship. he definitely wasnt washed up

  • total bs

  • @davidallenroth

well he was. so how is it bs? he also won the last race he was in before he died. how is that washed up?

  • He was also running 3rd in the race that he died in. Some people are going to hate Sr. no matter what but no one can deny he was one of the greatest in the sport, if not THE greatest.

  • these were the days. the gordon earnhardt era. they made the sport what it is today. earnhardt started it gordon polished the rest. people now a days dont know anything bout nascar. fans that were earnhardt fans still go to races in earnhardt apparel. gordon fans still show up in gorodn apparel. those are real fans. today one week its junior the next its stewart. then maybe back to junior then to edwards. i wish jj was racing then. that would be good racing.

  • When Jenkins said we'd be talking about this one for awhile, I'm sure he didn't think when you said '99 Bristol that everyone would know what your talkign about. Anyone know what happened the first 490 laps? All I know is Stewart led half of em. RIP Earnhardt, Bristol aint been the same since.

  • He competely dumped Labonte, I'm sorry but just look at it.

  • You don't bump draft in turns...that's number 1. Number 2, Terry clearly had a faster car with the fresh tires and would have won the race by about 10 car lengths. Bump drafting is done in the straights of speedways and super speedways - not in the turns at a short track...it's also consented between the two drivers doing it. Earnhardt himself said after the race, "I got into to him to rattle his cage, I didn't mean to wreck him." Bump drafting...wtf race were you watching?

  • he wasnt bump drafting you fucking noob. he hit him to get him loose and slow him down so he could at least get next to him. i think dale earnhardt knows when and where to hit someone and wouldnt condsider it bump drafting at 115 mph. you ppl that became fans this decade are retards for the most part

  • What happens if we are 14 years old and we have researched Dale Earnhardt, done reports on Dale Earnhardt, watched the movie DALE at least 10 times, and didn't have a chance to become a REAL NASCAR fan 10 years ago? Are we still retards?

  • I love it...haven't seen racing this entertaining since the 90's...it's too bad. Nowadays we have race cars with some space ship on the rear deck lid and a bunch of boring robots for drivers.

  • @ScottyKnol2409

    You got that right Scotty.

  • @ScottyKnol2409 No, you're just mad that Dale Jr is a total joke

  • @ScottyKnol2409

Thank you for saying what everyone is thinking about NASCAR today.

    I miss the old days.

  • @a315417 What, you don't like the same people winning every single race?

  • ok u can see he touched him but he has feness! he grazed labonte. we have a guy at our track that has enough experiance that he could turn u around and noone could tell! he could turn u around in the middle of the pack andu think u screwed up and none touched you!

  • eh they just drove 500 miles on one of the most toughest tracks Earnhardt didnt mean to do it and im sure he didnt deserve to die because of it either how old are some of you ??

  • Earnhardt died at Daytona in 2001...not at Bristol in 1999. As far as not deserving it, hey...you live a certain way, chances are you'll die a certain way. When you get into the edge of the rear quarter panel of another race car in a tight turn, how can you think the other car won't get sideways? He knew exactly what he was doing. Somebody with his instincts couldn't have known otherwise.

  • no...he didnt deserve to die and yes...he did mean to do it. Amazing how his dirty driving gets lost in light of his tragic death. He was a DIRTY DRIVER who would stop at nothing to win. In many ways I admire that...the man just wanted to win. But to say he didn't mean to do it is ignorant at best.

  • Ahhhhh Classic Earnhardt... R.I.P. Dale! You are soooooo awesome!!

  • This is part of the reason I never did like Dale, I will admit he was good, but I do believe he went to far alot of times using his car as a lethal weapon.

  • Dale is kind of a dick for taking him out, but I would have done the same thing. RIP Dale, never forgotten

  • ur retarted! IT PAYS MORE TO WIN

  • bullshit

  • dude...what a dick thing to say.

  • who was the crew chief for Terry Labonte at the time?

  • No, it was Andy Graves.

  • DALE EARNHARDT WILL 4EVER Be The GREATEST

    Bar none

  • like earnhardt said..'terry got into me in the middle of 3 and 4.' well earnhardt got into terry in the middle of 1 and 2.

  • This was payback for Labonte hooking Earnhardt on the last lap at Martinsville in '86.

  • 13 years BS

  • actually smoke1820, at 2:05 Terry Labonte bumped Earnhardt. So U can say Terry got what was coming to him. And as for Kyle busch, he is havinga hell of a year. but Kyle won't be this good in the years to come.

  • Labonte had good tires Earnhardt didn't so Terry was much faster. The only way Earnhardt could have made it to Labonte's bumper was to drive in deep deep - Labonte knew that and was already running high. Notice where they are when the contact happens - Earnhardt was obviously only that deep so he could get to Terry's bumper. Earnhardt knows racecar physics - he knew what would happen making contact at that point. Nascar's smarter than that too - Labonte should have got the win.

  • if you look at where Labonte got hit he was deep and high into the turn also, which means he went into the turn too hard after hitting and passing Earnhardt coming out of turn 4... Labonte had to check up and Earnhardt isn't going to check up on the last up at that time... That's why Nascar gave him the benefit of the doubt and let him keep the win... Just hard Bristol racing

  • Dale's a classy guy, I bet he meant what he said, but a fact's a fact... Dale wrecked Terry. It may be the only thing I never liked about Dale...

  • im a sr fan, dale rattled his cage
