Though you'll have to fight Dark Avalanche, Dark Blob, and Dark Pyro before fighting characters with the same powers as some of the X-Men.

He won't fight Shadow King for a little while. He must first fight the Astral X-Men in the Colosseum freeing Xavier's mind. The next time he returns to the Astral Plane, he'll fight Shadow King. I forget if that's before or after the mission to the Sentinel factory in Europe, though.
