Wow, I think this is one of the more slightly creative music videos out there. Love the energy in the beginning, the sound wave effects in the video feel awesome. I look forward to the CD and what this band will offer. I am especially excited with the mention of Boom Boom Satellites remixing this song!
Yup. Vagrant is releasing it check their OHP, FACT is now a member of the Vagrant team!. And the remix is of "a fact of life" that's the 16th track is done by the Boom Boom Satellites.
Well then it does seem like they have some sort of contract with Vagrant records or some sort of overseas label. That's sick they might preform in the states, I'll def. go see them<3
It's called "a fact of life" I BELIEVE. It might get changed. And I don't know...if there's a tentative release date yet? someone else can probably confirm. I hear Spring of this year, then I hear February, then I once heard January so. I guess we'll need to wait for conformation. Hope I helped a bit :p
It's a self-titled album coming out April 14th through Vagrant/Maximum 10 Records. This'll be the third track on the CD, with a remix of it as the 16th track.
I really, really hope they maintain some of the heaviness that their older stuff had. Especially from "Never Turn out the Light..." That album has some of the fastest blastbeats I've ever heard on it.
I think it's really great how they're including the roughmixes (I don't get it, does that mean they're demos or that they're simply remixes?) for people who don't know their previous work as a means of exposing them to their earlier stuff.
Plenty of bands I love have the same formula, but I think it's great to explore new sounds. Take RX Bandits or example, they used to be generic 3rd wave ska, and then they became what they are now. If you dislike the new stuff, stick with the old stuff.
Sounds like another EP/LP whatever it's called. I wonder if they'll ever put out a full length. How did you get that information? I wonder if that song Chain will be on it.
BTW, do you know where I can get those roughmixes they had on their Myspace? Did anyone rip them and save them? I think it's a shame they randomly took it off.
Thanks dude. I just talked to FACT and they said the roughmixes will be on the album...and it's going to be released on Vagrant Records. Holy shit, if they tour America they better come down to Florida. I'm so down for seeing them live.
I don't KNOW that an American label is distributing their new release. I heard a rumor that Vagrant Records was going to but that was most likely speculation.
I hope it's distributed in North America but again it's probably a rumor.
Will this album be released in America? I heard it was going to be brought out and distributed by Vagrant records aswell? But again, that's just a rumor.
Man I really really hope they decide to reupload those roughmixes again since they took them off...or I hope they'll put them on the new album they're working on. It's like putting a dollar on a string and then pulling it away from you when you get close haha.
Well I hope they still retain the heaviness and sound of their previous albums. I think they just may be going in a more polished, maybe mainstream direction. If you listened to their roughmixes on their Myspace (before they got taken down like a couple weeks ago), they were more cleaned up and more experimental than the album versions.
Remember they included some electronics in those previous albums too. Hopefully they become as good as RX Bandits when they evolved from their 3rd wave ska days
I think they'll keep their heaviness but their sounds are always changing mostly staying pretty heavy. You have to admit, this is pretty awesome, even if it's not what they usually do. I could definitely listen to an album full of this.
I think their change is for the best, I prefer their new styling and sound. And yeah Hiro's vocals and English have gotten ALOT better and clearer, so have all the other backup vocalists (technically the whole band has harsh vocal responsibilities, but I think mainly Kazuki + Hiro do screams?)
As for the rough mix of the songs, I think only Rise will make it onto their new album the others have already been on CD's.
Fuck I wish youtube would allow you to delete posts. Your right, Hiro just does cleans. I've never seen their PV's before so I assumed Hiro did harsh vocals aswell as clean. Sorry.
Wait...they had B-sides? I know they had a couple splits. This might be just one of those weird pseudo instrumental intro tracks on their other albums. But by the production values on this music video...hopefully they're not becoming more mainstream while sacrificing their heaviness.
Anyone know what's up with those 'polished' remix versions on their Myspace?
I could be wrong, but in those rough (they say "roughmix") mixes on their MySpace, their lead vocalist seems to have improved upon his English :P. Also, it would seem that they have gained a new English-speaking backup vocalist, or else their previous backup vocalist got wayyy better at his own English.
Their re-recording of Walk (now titled Rise - good choice, FACT :P) sounds much better than the first one they posted IMO. I'm still kind of iffy about the other two remixes, because I know what the originals sounded like, so I'm comparing in my head as it goes along, and not being satisfied xP. Overall though, there seem to be some interesting change-ups, and better English.
At first I couldn't tell if they replaced members or something, like Sunsgrind did (except I could tell with them). If anything the vocalist's English is more clear and enunciated.
I dunno whether I'm gladded they trimmed Reborn down, I sorta like the new mix. Hopefully this will be on their new album or something.
I know they had 2 demos before...think you could hook a brother up with those and their songs on the splits?

I had them message me once saying they were gonna play in the US sometime around March and April and the new album will be released around then.
I'm just hoping they stick to their word.. D:
I don't know where in the US they're playing tough.. I just sent a message to them asking about it.

ChuChuX6 3 years ago
No sorry I don't. All I can suggest is ask them on myspace for them, a friend of mine has them and that's how he got them.
GloriousAggressor 3 years ago
Haha your friend is lucky, I just messaged them on Myspace and they just said their new album is gonna drop on April and to wait for it.
I dunno if they understood what I said. Do you think you could ask your friend to upload them or something? I'd appreciate it.
ChuChuX6 3 years ago
Oh, tough luck. Lol I guess they are trying to get people to anticipate their album xD
Yeah sure I can ask my friend if he wouldn't mind uploading them and sending me the link, and I'll send you a message with the DL link, if he agrees.

I found a sorta interview about their new album. The recording in America has done.
vocaloidfamily 3 years ago
Wait what? They recorded their album in America? So they've gone from independent label to major label?
Where's this interview and how do you guys know an American label is distributing it stateside? Damn, can we get a tracklisting?

I can give you an incomplete "possible" tracklist:
A Fact of Life
Los Angels
Lights of Vein
Purple Eyes
Rise
Why..
Snow

When's their album supposed to drop anyways?

The album should be out by spring of this year
GloriousAggressor 3 years ago
there really good i like the masks i also like how they keep there identity secret its sweet lol
FoxyDragonM4A1 3 years ago
Well I have no doubt they'll keep their heavyness. Just look at the other vids on their youtube. No doubt those are samples of other new songs.
GloriousAggressor 3 years ago
What..is this the same band I heard that made the albums "The fine days never last" and "never turn out the light.." You get the point.
If it is this is a unsettling change when it comes to that. ESPECIALLY the use of the electronics.
Please say this isn't true..if it is..hmm..questionable

I thought Hiro (the guy who's just the vocalist) just does the clean singing?
I wonder if their songs that have been remixed, will be on some B-sides compilation.

I heard that he does cleans and harsh vocals aswell, and all the other band mates also do harsh + chorus. But I could be wrong, I usually am xD.
GloriousAggressor 3 years ago
Fuck I wish youtube would allow you to delete posts. Your right, Hiro just does cleans. I've never seen their PV's before so I assumed Hiro did harsh vocals aswell as clean. Sorry.

Hmm, not quite the FACT I know and love, but new shouldn't be bad. It just sounds more generic than their last two albums and previous B-sides, IMO.

Deviation & Manic from This Day, This Means
Spiral (A demo, I think? Pretty good.)
Merry Christmas Mr.Lawrence from A Santa Cause Vol. 2
