  • Isn't there usually 2 AEM-7s on the Silver Star?

  • when amtrak reaches washington DC on the palmetto line does it exchange from electric train to diesel train

  • yes

  • Can anyone give me a comprehensible idea of how the two Silver Services differ? (other than their take in the route which I know).

  • I think the star has three viewliners

  • That's been debated numerous times about how many viewliners the Star and Meteor have. It varies between the two so its hard to tell. The schedule would be the best bet.

  • dude are u from ct thats were im from and madmanmolony

  • I think if its northbound with three viewliners, its the meteor

  • @hhp8 Three Viewliners are only used during the summer months and when the train is on the point of being over booked for sleeping car accommodation.

  • How can you tell if its the meteor or the star?

  • I can't. Best guess is Silver Service.

  • Well we can find out what train it is if you tell us what time the video was taken. ;)

  • Between 11:00am and 12:00pm.

  • It's the Silver Star. I was on that train a few weeks ago.

  • Cool thanks.

  • No problem. :D

  • Yeah it all matters on time and yes, this is indeed the star
