yoobao has updated this case...the ones you buy now function 100% well and it's a soft leather case that looks awesome. other leather cases are on top of heavy or hard plastic and it defeats the purpose of having a leather case...

Case you review looks like genuine leather on video. Can't say the same for the one I bought - feels a lot plasticky.

@Serkant75 - Yoobao and these YouTube guys tout this case as genuine leather. This case is no Polurethene, pure PU. They should just sell this as a PU leather case, so there won't be any disappointed/mad as hell customers....

I can't believe they sell a case that turns off the device when the flap is back, as most anyone will be using it! Could there be a worse defect?

The adverts on Ebay say it's COW skin, not PIG. And I keep seing adverts for "version 2" which supposedly solves the "fold to back sleep" problem and the "strong smell" problem.

Hey Rick! I bought my case a couple of days ago and I love it! love all it's features! however I need your advice. I don't know why, but the headphone jack does not align well and nor does mic cut out. Although the sound recording is not inhibited in anyway. what really bugs me is the headphone jack. im a community college student and I use my iPad a lot on campus and tend to really need to use headphone when I'm in a library. I'm not sure if this is a defect or if I have to do something to it.

@RayJim92 try taking it out of the case and inserting it again, its possible it may not have seated correctly in the case. If it's still a problem I would suggest an exchange, could be an issue with the way the leather broke in or shaped in the packaging.

@tripleb66 I'd say yes. If you get the old version you may have difficulty with the sleep and wake feature in addition to the smell from the glue used. I personally did not have the issue with smell but know others have.

I have buy a case in brown from a Seller by eBay USA. The smell is extreme chemical and for sure unhealthy too. Current I let the case since 5 days on air. But I don't know, if I can at any time use this case.

i am also very interested in this case and just got this reply from customer service when asked about the smell and magnet issue:

Dear XXXX,

Thanks for your message. In response to your questions, not every case has the smell issue. In regards to the magnets the setting can be disabled, there is expected to be a permanent fix soon in regards to all the issues. Please check back around the end of the month to see if the new version is released. Thanks.

Ouch, major design flaw, the Cover Lock feature would have to be disabled I think. Have you seen any good protection for the back of the iPad that works in conjunction with the Apple Smart Cover?
