  • Edmonton fans were louder. It's true!

  • And these fans are not loud at all, especially for it being the finals.

  • @1Win1Win1Win1 Oh shut the fuck up troll ass bitch. There being very loud. Umad? Problem?

  • You can hear yourself, not loud enough.

  • Vancouver, Boston, Chicago, Montreal....regarded as the 4 loudest crowds in the NHL.

  • @SuicideNation nah, not vancouver, game 7 they weren't even cheering even at the beginning which took away their home ice advantage and probably why they lost and that was their 3rd try at a cup. oilers in 06 already had 5 cups but we were way louder and we have the record

  • @ThatOilersKid I'm not just saying through the playoffs, I mean through the whole season.

  • @SuicideNation And now Winnipeg has surpassed them all!

  • @SuicideNation When we cheer we shake our arena. You can't deny that. It was on the news.

  • Blackhawks are WAY louder than this

  • @MOMOarabe- I totally agree that Montreal is louder, I couldn't even hear the person next to me talk because it was SO loud for the final 10:00 of the 3rd period during Game 4 of the '02 semis when the Canes came back from a 3-0 to win 5-3 (Miracle at Molson).... sure stay in your fantasy world stupid Habs fan because its real funny every couple years that we stumble into your joint for the playoffs and kick your ass fair and square so excuse me because I have to go watch NASCAR and fuck my sis

  • @Caniac223 and you're a caniac? Oiler fans aren't the loudest caniacs and habs fans are the loudest, especially when the caniacs at that game reached 131 decibels ( the loudest an indoor stadium has ever been)

  • Decibels*

  • Set a record for loudness at 131 decimals as loud as a jet plane at 100ft

  • Fuck off Candy Canes.

  • Edmonton Oilers are the loudest fans in the NHL.

  • @XxInMySanexX Edmonton Oilers are the loudest drunks along with Montreal in the NHL.

  • @Caniac223 how is edmonton drunk?

  • @ThatOilersKid The beer intake I see at Oiler's games are ridiculus. Even the Hurricane's fans don't drink that much.

  • @Caniac223 your right about that, but to compare us to montreal isn't right

  • @ThatOilersKid true, I went to far there.

  • @XxInMySanexX in that little shack they call rexall place? no way chicago is the loudest

  • If you wanna se fans cheering for their team, WATCH THIS! (Ole ole ola - DIF-Luleå 18/3-11) Search for it and pick the one at the top!

  • Umm the loudest fans in the NHL are in Montreal....juss sayin.

  • Top 5 Best and Worst Cities in NHL from my experience of being to they're games.

Best - Montreal, Philadelphia, Chicago, Calgary, Boston.

Worst - New Jersey, St. Louis, Pittsburgh, NYI, Florida.

  • Habs fans are loudest when they're whining about calling the cops when one of their players gets hurt.

  • How cute, Trailerlina fans still think they're relevant. Your team should move to Canada, you toothless, nascar-watching, sister-bangers don't deserve one :)

  • DfK8p8iL5JQ <-------after a goal during a regular season game is louder than Carolina during Game 7 on the SCF

    Nuff said.

  • It got this loud in Edmonton.....during TV time outs.

  • It's funny watching all you montreal fans say you guys are the loudest. Once I see your proof of having the record for the loudest indoor event, suck my dick.

  • @Caniac223 What record? That decibel meter was FULL OF SHIT.

  • Comment removed

  • @OkeyDokey23 Yeah, us shitting all over the Oilers.

  • @Caniac223 amen brotha

  • go to a habs regular season game go back here, it'll sound like mice whispering

  • This is pure awesome. Living in sweden I have never been to go to a hockeygame in north america, but i am planning on going. As far as hockeycrowds go, I think my team in sweden has a great crowd. This is a clip from the playoffs last season. Semifinals.

  • Nucks Montreal edmonton clagary tronto ottawa

  • you never really understand how loud the rbc center is until youve been at a canes game

loudest an indoor stadium has been i heard

  • Umm no CAPS

  • lol not even close to montreal fans... this is like a pre season game at the bell center hahahahaha

  • The Bell Centre in Montreal dominates this in a REGULAR SEASON game.

  • ITS THE SHARK TANK

  • its pretty damn loud.. sounds like a happening place that night.

  • everyone knows that the sharks have the loudest fans smallest capicty loudest fans fuck ya

  • edmonton's coliseum was louder. on game 7.

  • lolll yeah right.. they were only loud because they were in the stanley cup final. almost all games in mtl are like that. carolina, as much as florida, nashville and atlanta dont even deserve a franchise. Cities like quebec city, hamilton and winnipeg are dying for a franchise and would be behing them no matter what

  • @habsplek14

You could have stpped your last sentence after the word "dying."

  • @habsplek14 try buying a ticket at the RBC center. It's sold every game dipshit.

  • @jason4485 by the way it isn't sold out every game. The Canes are 21st in attendance...on average they only sell 82% of their seats...not 100%.

  • @jason4485

i just checked the attendance stats for 2009-10 on wikipedia

what was i saying? whos number 1 (mtl)? whos 23rd (carolina)?

  • @habsplek14 Who's not the loudest crowd in the NHL (mtl)? Who is the loudest (carolina)?

  • Loudest fans in the NHL my ass.

  • @20CentPat Look it up chief.

  • @jason4485 I looked it up and it said the Shark Tank dip shit.

  • @20CentPat you jealous?

  • @Caniac223 You guy's aren't loud. It takes a playoff game for your building to actually sell out other than that you are sitting low in the attendance rankings.

  • @20CentPat Not true, but a good effort.

  • @Caniac223 Prove that you are the loudest in the league. Of the surveyed NHL players a majority of them said the Shark Tank, followed by the Bell Centre, and then the ACC...not one for the RBC Center.

  • @20CentPat Name a time any building was louder than the RBC Center in game 7.

  • @Caniac223

All of them except Atlanta, Florida, and Phoenix.

  • @20CentPat May I see some proof?

  • @Caniac223 search any player poll!

  • @20CentPat Show me some proof that says the RBC Center doesn't have the record for the loudest crowd in any indoor event

  • @20CentPat Fuck u

  • NHL Fans are lame, search for "Blandade klipp från Djurgården-Brynäs"

Djurgården is Stockholms (Sweden) best team. And the fans are best in the world

  • The acoustics, not the fans, account for it being unusually loud. The same is true of Rexall Place.

  • @Crymson1 This. Bell Centre is the loudest by way of solely the fans IMO.

  • @acmilan93333 It wouldn't surprise me.

  • no this isnt the loudest. I would have to say all the canadian cities are the loudest. but if i have to say, montreal and Calgary fans are the best

  • @zimboi81 This is actually the loudest an indoor arena has ever been. It's even proven.

  • you cant say whos the loudes in the finals thats not fair its the finals, to find out the loudest it needs to be during the regular season.

  • a regular season montreal canadiens game is louder than this

  • @MOMOarabe Definately.

  • @MOMOarabe last time i saw carolina play montreal at the bell centre (3/31/2010), i could hear a pin drop over what little noise i heard from the players.

  • @1more4carhur

    hahahahahah ur sooooo funnyy

  • @MOMOarabe oh you don't believe me? go look up a vid of highlights for that game. they were pretty quiet to me.

  • @1more4carhur

bullshit any one who know NHL knows that habs fans are the loudest in the league!

  • @MOMOarabe also get a look at our last home game on 5/8/2010. the commentator was saying we were as excited as we would be for a playoff game. but if your not satisfied, just fuck it. i love the canes and you love the habs cuz hockey's the shit. at least your team got to beat faggot ass crosbitch. i am thankful to see that asshole in tears.

  • @1more4carhur

haha yeah its was great to see

  • @MOMOarabe yeah id like to see it hit 120+ decibels in you guys arena you jackass

  • @caniaczack26

    alredy did 132 lol

  • @MOMOarabe hmm lets see who holds the record for loudest ever recorded noise level in a north american sporting event, the RBC Center!!!!!.. google loudest nhl arena and see what comes up

  • @caniaczack26

we hit 132 in regular season...lol, just dont want to imagine game 7 in bell center

  • @MOMOarabe youd just have to go to a canes game to get a perspective on how loud it gets in there, even in the regular season

  • @MOMOarabe hmm lets see who holds the record for loudest ever recorded noise level in a north american sporting event, the RBC Center!!!!!.. google loudest nhl arena and see what comes up

we hit 134 in game 7 of the fiinals

  • @MOMOarabe excuse me i'd like to correct myself, we hit 158.3 decibels in a playoff game against Buffalo when we scored the game tying goal after being down 5-1 so i dont see any arena hitting that mark anytime soon unless of course the habs make it to a game 7 as you say

  • @MOMOarabe habs fans are always loud yeah, but i remember the playoffs that year for the canes, the place was fucking roaring. it was louder than the bell centre on goals, but yeah, habs fans are definitely the most passionate, throughout the entire season (not just the playoffs.)

  • @piratebri

lol wtf u talking about? it even wost during the playoff the city just become hockey, canadiens everywere, cars, bus, fireman trucks..

  • Montreal has the oldest team, the biggest arena and the loudest croud without any doubt. It's a canadian sport and they sure do have the loudest fans. Each coach of the visiting team sais so.

  • ima flyers fan and all im saying is that all Canadian teams beat U.S. fans, bc they should, its they're game . But as far as the U.S. goes, im sticking it with my city as being #1. And as far as Canada goes, i see that the Habs and Flames have the greatest fans.

  • @JxKx4x7 I wouldnt say Canadian teams beat US teams but I would say Canadian players beat US fans, take Gretzky and Crosby for example. So many good canadian players are on U.S teams.

  • Montreal has the biggest arena, which means more people, Edmonton is that loudest and it's one of the smallest arena's in the nhl

  • @markmata44 Montreal hit 132 decibels (loudest ever recorded in nhl) sduring game 6 vs pittsburgh...watch?v=jTilOlYdd8c&feature=player_embedded#!

Actully its game 7 but the players werent there, they showed the game on the jumbotron

  • During the Oilers stanley cup run, it was proved, Oilers fans where, and are the loudest fans... if there is a reason to cheer --_--

  • Flyers fans are the loudest.

  • @psychocloud lmfao yeah okay.

  • @psychocloud

but not in a good way...

  • lol loudest... only 1 person on 10000 in carolina watch hockey

  • Chicago is the loudest

  • Oilers easily the loydesy hands down

  • loudest my ass!

  • loudest during the regular season is Montreal and San Jose. loudest during playoffs is Edmonton

  • edmonton 115 decibels

  • Im a leafs fan and as much as I hate to admit it Montreal has the loudest fans. Remember loudest doesn't mean best fans there's no such thing as a best fan.

And Chicago doesn't have the highest attendance what are you talking about, The Leafs have been sold out since the 1940s. Your only selling out now because the bandwagon fans are all jumping on board now.

  • easily the loudest r the devils and panthers lol

  • The Bell Centre is proven loudest.

  • United Center is called the MADHOUSE ON MADISON for a reason. They have the best fans in the NHL

  • The loudest fans are undeniably Blackhawks fans. All you other people are in denial or have never watched a game at the United Center. Every player and annoucer will agree, and they have the highest average attedance at games. FACT

  • True that! National Anthem at the UC is amazing/intense!!!!!

  • I wonder if its because they have the highest seating capacity??? I think so. Where were all the Blackhawk fans before Kane, Toews and Keith arrived to make your team respectable again?

  • @theelboweater The fans were still there buddy. Just cause the team lacked doesn't mean we weren't the loudest fans. Ask any NHL player that's been there. The truth is, the MADHOUSE ON MADISON IS THE LOUDEST!!!

  • Ya ill just go ask Crosby right now cuz you know im super tight with him, same as Ovechkin. obv im not gonna ask an NHL player so your argument is flawed. You wanna see the loudest fans in the NHL ill send the vid to you

  • You're so full of shit your eyes are brown.

  • Some peoples children......

  • I agree, the same can be said for the penguins

  • Ask any player in the NHL and they will all say that the bell centre is the loudest.

Not one ticket has been sold since 2004 because since that year all tickets(exept playoffs tickets) have been sold out, even tickets of games many many years later

  • i think it was a tie with canes and oilers

  • go to a hawks game then get back to me

  • lol habs fans r the loudest

  • oilers definately the loudest. and everyone keeps forgetting that Rexall Place is the smallest arena in the NHL.... only 16,839 capacity! how big is the Bell center? or RBC center? probably a couple thousand seats bigger. so rexall has less people and yet still louder....interesting

  • bell centre 21273

you cant have a louder croud anywhere esle than on montreal

  • ya so bell centre is almost 5000 seats bigger than Rexall Place. i would agree tho that it would be a toss up between Edmonton and Montreal.

  • Comment removed

  • no it doesnt u dirt, edmonton has the loudest fans

  • to the tard who said the Oilers were lucky it went to 7 games, you're lucky Roloson was injured in game 1 otherwise the Oilers would have won the Cup in 6 games tops.

And that decibel meter was full of shit. Edmonton peaked at 116dB, for Carolina to be 125dB it would have to be 80 times louder than Edmonton which is impossible.

I've never heard such sustained noise through a whole game than what I heard in Edmonton in '06. Carolina is loud but you don't compare to Edmonton and Montreal sorry

  • Edmonton has the loudest and the best fans in the NHL. NO contest

  • wrong, sorry but the rbc center is the loudest in no question about it. it holds the record for the loudest indoor arena in the world. nice try tho.

  • fake stuff

  • ehhh not really the loudest imo.........

  • wrong, its the loudest indoor arena in the world. the fans there r great! GO CANES!!

  • 1person on 50 likes hockey in this town......

  • You guys "might" think its louder. But thats not what the Decimeter sounds bitches :). GO CANES!

  • actually hate to to take anything away from this but Verizon Center got voted loudest arena this year by NHL . com, sorry facst are facts. DC is louder.

  • ya but in 2006 lol not in 2009

  • true lol

  • it might be that year, but the RBC center holds the record for the loudest arena in the world. so u got a 1 year thing, we got a record! GO CANES!!!!

  • where did you get that from? I was always under the impression Montreal was the loudest place

  • voted? who votes that? And if anyone is going to vote for loudest it's going to be Montreal hands down that's the loudest

  • i got this off of NHL . com when the playoffs started they voted Verizon Center the loudest arena. im sure people feel like their teams are the loudest, i know bell centre is loud i love that arena i thinks its great i love the huge lower level and how it extends up behind the goals, most dont do that, and RBC is nice as well [the nes pens arena is pretty much exactly like RBC] . but DC is very loud. looke up "unleash the fury" its a Caps thing its pretty cool, kinda like a crowd pep rally.

  • cool, didn't realize that. Yeah the RBC centre was rocking that year, the Verizon centre is also crazy, but I still think the Bell Centre is the loudest. GM used to get pretty loud, as did the Saddledome. I would have to say the oilers arena was louder in the playoffs that year though.

  • yeah i like the way the saddledome looks, the Canadian teams get great support, even tho im Russian, i give Canada credit for having great hockey fans

  • yeah the saddledome is cool. Its not as loud as it used to be back at the end of 04 and the 06 season

  • yeah there sea of red for playoffs is pretty cool, the Caps do the sea of red also.

  • the rbc is loudest it has been said over and over by a shit load of people so u other fans go the fuk home u cant just decide for ur self ur arena is the loudest fukin canadians

  • haha your a moron.

Go sit in the Bell Centre in montreal and you'll quickly ecide RBC isn't as loud.

  • B-A-N-D-W-A-G-O-N

It's fucking game 7 of the Stanley cup playoffs, and it's not even that wild.

  • you guys should be at the bell center to see that the loudest fans are in montreal... Even in a preseason game in would have been louder than that...

  • not even the bell centre is 10 times better. now thats loud

  • edmonton is louder

  • quiet much? calder cup at hamilton was louder than this

  • These guys need to go back to Hartford.

  • thank you

  • the loudest fans in the nhl are not the canes hahahah

    id say any canadian team

where they actually care about hockey

  • the loudest fans in the nhl are the canes it has been said time and time again across the nhl by many people and i would say by the show of support in north and south carolina that we do care. You see hurricanes flags hats and shirts everywhere. we bring the spirit of college atheletics to our games i don't know of another nhl team that has that. but everyone is biased for thier own team

  • hahahahaha you have no idea what youre talking about

i have went to games all across the states and lets just say the seats to the right and left of me were vacant....

  • haha your a idiot i have been to more than 40 games there and have always been packed maybe a few empty seats but that is anywhere so haha you fucking idiot

  • Flyers fans are the loudest fans in the nhl

  • AND FUCK CANADA

  • old chicago stadium was the loudest hopefully the united center will become the loudest

  • 0oooooooooooooooo my god tonight it was fucking loud as hell during the national athem the whole national athem people were just screaming i didnt here a single word of the national athem and the guy singing it was trying to sing over the crowd but coudn't

  • there is nothing louder than the United Center during the anthem

  • ya well rexall place doesnt need anybody to sing the anthem to them. we can do it ourselves. look up oilers fans sing oh canada

  • The Wachovia center in Philly is rocking year round. Edmonton and Montreal are eerily silent during the regular season.

  • best fans in the nhl....Edmonton and Montreal...Carolina will be my nemisis for life

  • oilers all the way. we have the smallest building in the nhl yet the loudest.....how does that happen? habs fans are loud too. carolina fans aint got shit. go back to your college football.

  • Your fans are only louder in Edmonton because there are no other major sports. The hurricanes are probably the 4th most popular behind College Basketball, Nascar, and College Football. Edmonton was lucky this was even a 7 game series, would have been over in game 5 if Stillman didn't make a sloppy turnover in OT.

  • you are absolutely right. we dont have any other major sports in edmonton because hockey is religion here and we just dont give 2 shits about anything else. basketball? nope. soccer? nothing pro. football? barely. baseball? ya right. weve gone thru 3 teams in the past 5 years because of little to no intrest. and as far as game 7, there is no luck when u get that far in the playoffs. either u win or lose. we made a great comeback but lost the last game. shit happens.

  • kind of sad your defending your team that lost in the finals 3 years ago.....cool that hockey is religion..but must be pretty shitty when your team sucks and misses out on playoffs..with no other sport season to look forward to

  • It's true. It broke a record for one of the loudest sporting events in history. You all can't judge the loudness through a camera because it all depends on speakers of the camera. The RBC Center may not be the loudest every night, but it can be deafeningly loud. mrfinn9, I agree completely. RBC is the only place that I feel the whole place shaking.

  • Unfortunatly nationality has nothing to do with volume. I have been to this arena many times as it is my home state and I have also been to 9 other arenas in the U.S. and Canada during the playoffs. Raleigh is the only place I have ever felt concrete shaking.

  • absolutly NOTHING compares to the bell cantre. nothing else wins

  • Montreal or Edmonton Carolina has NOTHING on us buddy .

  • During the 2002 playoffs, CBC's Don Cherry called the the RBC Center (home ice for the Canes) the loudest building in the NHL. During 2006s ECF and SCF in the RBC Center, televised displays of handheld decibel meters repeatedly showed readings above 125 dB, which is considerably above the threshold of pain. The 133.4 dB recorded by arena staff during Game 5 of the 2006 ECF broke an unofficial record held by the Sacramento Kings of the NBA in the Arco Arena.
