@codzomz Possibly not. Cloud coverage probably extends to only about 3000 feet or so, so once on final from 3000 AGL to the runway things might be pretty clear. CATIII a lot of times therefore isn't really necessary. Only reason CATIII would come into play at Heathrow would probably be dense snow or heavy fog situations.

it looks like you have to turn for a while before you can land. This also happened to us when we flew from JFK to London and had the same impressions. Great Video
