Listen, end of life counseling is a GOOD thing, not a bad thing. It is about helping seniors to plan for end-of-life medical care. Personally, I want that for my parents, and for myself as well! It would not require doctors to counsel that their patients refuse medical intervention. The accepted definition of end-of-life planning means thinking ahead about the care you would like to receive at the end of your life which may include the choice to reject extraordinary measures of life support. Like it or not, we will all have to face this at some point.
