Sylvia has always been one of my favorite opera singers...Of course I miss her angelic soprano voice but I am also delighted she's overcome her hardships and continues to sing...Long live the great Sylvia !
This is the first time I've heard this kind of music played on a Boesendorfer! I've loved Sylvia Mcnair since I first heard her when I was a teenager 18 or 19 years ago. She sounds so very different here, singing nearly a fifth below what I'm used to, and I hear some glottal attacks; so I'm wondering, is she just having fun singing other styles and allowing her voice to do "non-classical" things to fit the style, or has her voice been affected by the bout with cancer and with age?
I don't believe it....WONDERUL Well done....You could sing at me AME church and they would fall out. That is a true musician; able to interpret all genres
I congratulate the church for choosing a Bösendorfer.

Who posted these? Do you have the one of her doing "Devil Went Down to GA?" with violin?
That recital was so incredibly awesome! It was such an honor to be in the presence of someone so great! :)
