  • I've seen tons of videos on road trains, but are there any videos of medium size to light wieght trucks in Austrailia?

  • @cj382 yeh there are heaps. road trains are a minority they are not allowed anywhere near the cities and only really cross the desert

  • what is model this trucks

  • @alerciyes1983 kenworth W900

  • hats off to all aussie truckers! you all are friggen awesome!

  • 1315 what truck is that?

  • technically, if you had two A trailers instead of an A and a B like on a B double, wouldnt that be classed as a road train? We have B triples running through New South Wales with and A trailer and 2 B's, but thats not a roadtrain. Is it? They dont have the ROAD TRAIN signs on the front.

  • where's mad max?

  • down under truck!

  • 1:29 PWNED BITCH!

  • thumbs up if u like roadtrains.

  • Kenworth belongs to last century

  • it's farKENWORTH it ay

  • i raelly want drive road train. i think truck driver's life is coulorfull.

  • now that's fuckin haulin boy

  • Looks like they're driving through The Rez.

  • well i live in arizona.not muc here but dirt, and a hot ass sun.

  • so guys, how long do you think roadtrains will be in the future? 5 trailers? 10 trailers? i want to see that =D

  • thumps up for the australia i live in irelannd but i uncle own a ranch over there and outback words cant ex plane it.

  • Awesome lifestyle!! Went to Australia in 2005 backpacking. Liked the big Cities but not as much as the open outback - like Coober Pedy, Tenant Creek, Alice Springs. Alot of people think I'm mad for enjoying the desert but there is something very special about deserts. Maybe it stems from the fact that I lived in the African bush from 10 until the age of 13. Love Australia!

  • I would love to drive one of those.

  • 90% of it is straight road driving lol easy, il do it one day

  • MUSIC is ANNOYING!

  • neva mind the trucks, this video goes for 17 mins EPIC!!!!!!

  • How the hell do you back one of these things up?

  • LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL xD

  • who wants to own a semi auto gun anyway? i think the government is better because we cant own them. u wanna end up like america, no gun control what so ever. have over 11 000 murders every yr. no thanks.

how many kangaroos do u actually have jumpin around your back yard that its actually becoming a problem? i think our government is a lot better then most

  • @cambaman33

Gun control is unnecessary, as it only takes guns from mostly non-criminals. It makes absolutely no sense and anyone that proposes gun control in the U.S cannot process a single intelligent thought, gun control would have been a good idea to start hundreds of years ago. The U.S has 170m-350m(the actual numbers are unknown) fire arms, the bad people aren't going to lose their guns and the good people are.

There's no statistic to show legal firearm owners are more likely to kill.

  • @cambaman33 ROAD TRAINS

  • I wonder if truckers in Australia get more respect than we do here in the US?

  • @paintball4908 living in outback australia I know you do not mess with these monsters on the road. they drive through my town day in and day out. you look carefully are traffic lights as these things cannot stop if the light goes red. they just trundle through.

  • gritty nowt. jist fit ye need wi yr tatties

  • VB for yas!

  • yeah! Aussie truckers ride on!!

  • *****

  • road trains are cool as hell, ive never seen any living in the states as from what i hear they are not permitted, other than two 3/4 length trailers.. but it makes all the sense in the world to do it. especially for cross country Runs, i mean, there are so many truck stops, weigh stations etc, shit , if you got a run from boston to L.A. , why not let them run 3 40 foot trailers, if you need an escort, 1 man in a Ford Ranger with an oversized load sign is better than runnin 3 seperate big rigs.

  • @cj382 yes they sound good them 892 detriots only problem is you need ear muffs to drive them

  • Truckin!!!

  • before i die i will drive one of those road trains! till then guess i will just stick with my 50ft (only one so don't laugh me out to bad) and my KW-900 love my kwoper

  • Whats song from 1:29 till 4:20?

  • @boryan2309

I think it's "Sugarland' with their song "Down In Mississippi". At least something from their works.

  • WHAT ABOUT MR. NOEL TONES driver of Road Trains of Australia from Katherine.??

  • The sound of engine is mirific...

  • Ok, it's a Kenworth commercial. Every other line is "Kenworth this or that." I won't take anything away from the KW's though. Just sayin.

  • that's a good soundin silver 92 at the end

  • NOOB VIDEO! So failed maked

  • If you want to lower your fuel consuption figures up to 6% in Australian road trains, check out my FleXcap video. It is aerdodynamically designed hubcap model for trucks and trailers.

  • @TunekoLtd Do you really think that a road train, with the suspension, engine sump and braking system all exposed not to mention the entire truck itself and load can save 6% by changing the hubcaps !??! ha ha !

  • @m1leswilliams

Yes. Wheels on a truck, car and train doubles your wind resistance. You can find tests resulst on a train/locomotive, Which is pretty much same situation than your road train.

First and the last trailers are the most important for low drag. You can put over 32 capsels to your roadtrains and drive higher speeds so drag effects are doubled to european trucks.

  • my dad is in this video haha

  • aye my dad is in this vid haha

  • Video looks romantic, but it's very hard job.

  • I really enjoyed this, thanks.

  • Can't beat the sound of a 2 stroke jimmy!

  • I think Malbert34 does not realise that he needs truckers. I work in a wharhouse and people often describe that work for dumb, low educated people. Well that might be so, but we take pride in our work, and a lot of people depend on people like us, the LABOURORS. Because if it wasnt for the regular guy that works long shifts, doing heavy hard sweaty work for low income, the rest of the world would grind to a halt. No LOGISTICS, No GOODS...................ANYWHERE!

  • @LeandroMuntendam Actually if you want to catch up with malbert34 he is busy running down truck drivers at another youtube site...."bmw527turbo". Good luck.

  • Comment removed

  • @malbert34 Hey what took you so long to reply ? I thought you would have been stuck into me a long time ago. You know what us BMW people are like, pretty toey.lol I see one of your mates got bumped off yesterday ..ole' Bin Laden.

  • @LeandroMuntendam First rule of working in a warehouse is spelling warehouse right. Can't take pride in a job you can't spell.

  • @mahony007 yeah yeah smartass. i misstyped. and second of all i am Dutch not English :P:P LOLOLOL. But you noticed, that means you've read it. makes me proud to be a dumb fuck LOL. Ow and i work at a sawmill nowadays. ghehehe

  • @LeandroMuntendam LOL, I am just kidding man. We both know youtube is full of assholes like me with nothing better to do then act like an idiot.

  • @mahony007 i know i know. we're both tough bad ass internet gangsters who have no lives after work. ow well my wife just went out. so i odered out some mexican food, and i wash it down with a couple of cold sudds. i have 11 cans left. so i'll have a fun night. my wife doenst. shes designated driver today/ all sober and shit. well time for a beer isnt it. its 6.50 pm over here. time for some booze

  • what the.....!!

  • why did i bother watching this whole thing?

  • mis respetos para estos cabulas ke mueven tantas toneladas sobre ruedas.

  • как разворачиваться?

  • What size donks do they have in these beasts? I doubt we're looking at a Cummins L10 here!

  • respect for the drivers!

  • Why not just build a rail system?

  • @BigDirtyBasterd - errmmm : Australia is 94% of the size of the USA with only 8% of the population [eg : less than double the population of NY state] the resources are simply tooo distributed to be connected by rail.

  • Comment removed

  • @malbert34 According to you profile..... So are you :)

  • @malbert34 These stupid aussie bastards as you call them are hard working men who do this to put bread on the table for their families. They work tremendously long hours in every type of terrain and conditon. Much is expected of them in return for not a great wage. They sacrifice a great deal, often being away from their loved ones for weeks on end. In fact many have lost their lives. Most things are at one time or another on a truck, usually for cocksuckers like you.

  • Comment removed

  • @malbert34 Your comment straight away tells me how ignorant you are. Firstly a lot of these men are qualified to do others things eg. welders, ex-police officers, painters, chefs, plumbers, mechanics, and the list goes on. Others are not lucky enough to have been given the opportunity of an education that you speak of. Some chose the open road because they simply love that style of life. I know plenty of tertiary educated people who are as you described. You are probably one of those wankers.

  • @pungooer I was a truck driver for 4 years in the UK, the people i met and the good times I had I will treasurer for the rest of my life. I'm now at university doing a degree in logistics as its easier to obtain a loan to set up my own haulage firm after I'm done. Had hardly any qualifications from school but its possible to do both in the long run just on experience alone. I can't wait to get back on the road. Keep on trucking!

  • @FPSrich Good on you I hope you do really well.If you run into that malbert34 on your travels run the bastard over. Actually that is not his real name he is in fact one of those bloody head bobbers who always have their arse in the air pointing to Mecca trying to reconnect with Muhammad". You know the ones we can do with out.

  • @malbert34 for all your qualifications, time slaving away at university and your troubled schooling (due to all those young truck drivers) you are still a fucking retard, people like you should be banned from breeding. for the record my job makes me 2k clear per week, most would consider that a fucking great job. heres an idea tomorrow morning when you get up just go to the local flour manufacturer for your bread, then pop down to the oil refinery after the fucking dairy farm you stupid cunt

  • @malbert34 - Firstly I have a fist full of degrees including 1 Doctorate, 2 masters and 3 batchelors degrees. What are your qualifications sir? I see you are from Cuba so you have no idea of conditions here or what the truck do for a living. Show some respect for people who slave to provide others with their daily requirements and try to understand that most jobs do not require tertiary education. As for truckers I respect them greatly as they do a very difficult and dangerous job in Australia.

  • HAIL TO THE DRIVING GODS!!!

  • Too Many interuptions during this Video...They talk about a 100 car train & but never show the actual demonstration..waste of my time!! This was just a commercial for Kenworth.....Prolly a Peterbuilt that pulled the 100 cars to break the record.

  • shum e fortttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttt

    ttttttttt

  • wow!!! masakra!!! ... taka jazda.

  • I thought they had to be built in Australia to tolerate Australia's road conditions. Why would Australia rely on an American truck company to do that?

  • I guess in Australia only skilled drivers can drive, am I right ? :)

  • Amazing

  • クリスはこんな所でアルバイトしてたんだね

  • Is this a DVD about roadtrains or an advert for kenworth?

  • well, not exactly environmentally friendly are they?

  • @malbert34

    actually yeah they are

  • why they dont use train to delivery the cargo ? it seems dangerous if u drive near them >.<

  • @mechaXXI because we don't have the track for trains at the out back

  • @mechaXXI Because trains are for pussies

  • @mechaXXI i think ive heard that thay got there own roads when thay are crossing the outback?!?is this rigth?

  • @CHEVYMONSTER79 - Incorrect they use regular highways for road trains. no special roads.

  • Before I leave this earth, I want to drive a road train between Adelaide and Darwin just once...

  • Aussies are the kings!!!!

  • @SecularTechnology Kings of what?? Try pulling a trailor in NYC ...& I'm talking a single 48 ft. Not impressed with pulling 4 trailors on a Flat open dirt road for hundreds of miles...with the only thing in your way might be a Kangaroo. take care

  • @scallly64 , Whats so difficult about pulling a single 48 footer around town, theyre every where here, try dragging a B Double around inner city streets. 48ftr, PFFFFT. RT drivers have my respect. Cheers.

  • @scallly64 Scally 42.5 feet payload is the "smallest" trailer that is ever pulled in an Australian Suburb and the AB-Double is 'usual' at 82.5 feet total length in-the-suburbs - American trucks are - - ahem : Litttle.

  • @muzzthegreat Really? A 50ft trailor is small in NYC?? Ok,You mis understood my comment above...I was implementing the ease of Driving with not worrying about traffic of pedestrians...which to me I have no experience with,... living here in NY....Unfortunately people here either have no common sense,or have the attitude....'I'll own your company if you hit me" If you visit, watch your right turns! There will always be a person ( not a Kangaroo) in your mirror...Safe Travels to you.

  • @scallly64 oi fuckwit do you have any idea how hard it is to controll 3 trailers and take corners and how wide you need to go out 48ft thats fuckin piss weak

  • *shrug* I don't know what's needed in Oz, but I always liked Volvos. :)

  • These kangaroos are crazy !!!!! mate

  • road warrior

  • I wanna be Australian truck driver!!!!! You are the best guyes!!!

  • I still don't understand why they have long roadtrains down there, but their trailers and prime movers are so short? We haul 53 and 57 foot trailers with extended hoods, or bonnets if you will. You would think the government would allow them bigger units.

  • @cj382 We don't want bigger units. This arrangement has been tried and tested and is right for the job giving the right ammount of stability and tracking characteristics. Long trailers track like shit in corners and would belly out in many creek approaches etc.

  • chique mesmo esses caminhão e muito bom este video, parabéns, abraços.

  • Very good!

    Brazilians also assist Trucks

    youtube.com/watch?v=9eV4nGwbXGg

  • Ausie, Ausie, Ausie!!

  • rail is efficient but you put a train into a loading dock at your local coles can ya????

  • lets first see a US truck in the dakar rally then we talk about who builds the best trucks for the worst conditions....

  • It sounds like a Kenworth truck commercial... all they do is mention kenworth trucks.

  • Rail is way more efficient.

  • @toolinmaine Australia is the same size as the US but has the population of New York City.

Feel free to come lay the tracks for us and we'll move everything by rail.

  • @semtex84 Rail is to deliver to major cities. You unload at warehouses ouside of town, Trucks bring the product in from the warehouses. trains can move Tons of product over distance much less expensively. There still needs to be drivers for in town driving to "small town". I am not trying to be rude, just thinking of the possibility.

  • @toolinmaine I know what you're saying and that's how it works in and around most Cities, but out in the bush there is 0 infrastructure like you're talking about. There's only a couple of rail lines that cross Australia East to West.

Trucks are alot easier for the mean time.

  • @semtex84 Road trains are smaller and far between, going east/west, real road trains (3 and 4 trailers) are mainly found on the north/south routes and in the far north.

  • @toolinmaine

Think about this. 1 train = 100 + trucks, there goes 100 jobs, Now, Can a train make stops here and there, and sneak into small towns and make small stops? NO. sure its easy.. But your gonna get alot of people out of jobs.. yet they want people to stop being jobless? old saying "without trucks australia will stop" ;)

  • @5blacksmith5 I understand your theory 1 train = 100 & a loss of jobs but look at it this way...you still need 100 people to unload all the cars & somehow figure a way to ship to stores, little towns etc.. In my opinion,I don't really see that much job loss...obviously they no something I don't.

  • Is this a commercial for KW?

  • @zefer14 seems like it leans towards the owners of a company and it also seems Kenworth was the only truck to make the cut down under there.?? i don't know but i dont see Cat trying to out do them ?

  • @oldviolinat48 There are Macks' Western Star and Whites also as road trains of the same quality, out west.

  • wow the starting blows

  • Lose the ads!!!

  • that was freaking awsome ...wow

  • cool

  • How much does it cost to fill up the fuel tanks on a road train?

How much litres does it take before the tanks get full?

    Thank u very much.

  • @PontiacT89 A road train-rated KW would hold about 2,500 litres. Fuel in Alice Springs is about $1.48 / litre right now so about $3,700 to fill up. About $3,300 to fill up in Darwin where it is cheaper.

  • Ice truckers bore me.....How about gettin' some real truckin' Down Under. It'd be a smash hit!

  • OutBack Tradition Suk My Nutz

  • this was the longest commercial for kenworth trucks i have ever seen.

    apparently they are awesome.

    i should go buy one.

  • I suffered from hyperbolic overload at 0:23 and the Jake brake kicked in

  • who is this video aimed at?

  • Классно!!!

  • Jesus! I gave up at 48 seconds! All cheezy video effects, NO BLEEDIN' VIDEO! They can stick it!

  • @effyleven wada you expect? Rap gangster wanna-be video? Be a real man, be a truckie.

  • @effyleven It's just highlights from the movie, dude. They don't put the whole chapters from the movie on a video

  • australia = most beautiful country on in the world they have snow sand junge normal forest whit beaches and all...

  • @Plaayboarding and people that cant spell

  • @smileytho i'm not from australia or any other english speaking country,,

  • @smileytho I can't spell and I am training to be a teacher.

  • This is real cool!

  • this is actually economical screw concentrated things just put 5 trailers on 1 truck genius...

  • When will they get serious about road trains and employ EMD electromotive diesels like the railroad uses? They want over 100 cars? They need to develop a full scale road locomotive based exactly on rail locomotives, THEN they can move some freight.

  • @TheMrBlinx too dangerous, smart one.

  • 5 truckloads 1 driver, economic and awesome.

  • man ide love to do it

  • @milesdavisblackmx5: It's obvious from the stile that har32 writes with that he is a child. He states that he wants to get a semi when he's out of high school. We older Americans wonder what went wrong with this generation of kids. One day, this douche bag may be our president!

  • build to last... No mather what! Respect.

  • Is it a truck or a train? lol

  • Im a driver, its power, reliabiltiy and looks for me, so american trucks are it. Euro trucks have none of those.

  • let me guess, this is made or sponsored by Kenworth !

  • Does anyone know the name of the music track played throughout this video?

  • WOW....im from germany, so ive never seen something like that ....thats a completely other kind of engineering.....a other kind of thinking....we know our autobahn and our good street net with highspeed autobahn and so on....i will also become a engineer in , i hope, the next 2 years..but we are teached to think and built high efficient performence....smaller faster and the quality to endure a calculated time, cause of the again buying....ive to travell more...sorry for bad english

  • @frischefresse1986 the english are not all bad lol .just a joke

  • nice what progame you use to make this vid begin?:P

  • It's very cool

  • you're obviously an idiot so i'll spell this out for you. They have to carry thousands of tons through the harsh desert, mud, sandstorms..rains.. etc. That takes a certain amount of skill. Just like it takes a certain amount of skill to drive the mountains of northern canada. So dont hate on road trains because i'm pretty damn sure a north canadian driver couldn't drive a road train for shit without breaking a couple or losing/rolling a trailer.

  • @mediarocker543 not true, i used 2 drive road trains and had a canadian friend of mine who is also a trucker drive a road train and HE knows exactly what he's doing, so canadians do know how to drive road trains, as i drive truck in canada now. he never rolled or lost ANYTHING never broke a damn thing either. before insulting canadian truck drivers make sure someone who used to drive roadtrains isnt reading this.

  • @Aerials2005ca Yeah, eah, yeah, we know,... the same old BS. You've gotta be bigger and better in Canada.

My dad can beat your dad. Now piss off.

  • @Aerials2005ca, Sarcasm doesn't translate through the internet well does it?

  • Those drivers must eat alot of speed.

  • Do these things have double engine snorkels or is that just the exhaust?

  • Is someone out there, who may tell me from whom this fucking good music is.

    The movie is fantastic.

  • заебись

  • <3<3<3

  • this a kenworh promo?
