  • Awesome job ladies, Sully gets credit for the landing but you gals did all the hard work! It showed by your quick actions and thinking! How come he gets all the book deals and money? Flight Attendants work so hard a deal with such ass wipes! Good job ladies!

  • I am so proud of the wonderful Flight Attendants (and CERTAINLY of our 2 Brave Pilots) of my company, USAirways...It seems we (USAirways) get a bad rap, but we have the most dedicated professional crews in the industry.

  • The crew on flight 1549, all of them, did what they needed to do, when it was needed AND that's why they and all 150 passengers are still with us on this earth. To pick apart anything they did is complete and utter nonsense. Given the extremely compressed time frame of complete engine failure below 3500' on takeoff of a 75ton plane, in pop. dense area, they did good and that good equaled 100%. They and the passengers are all winners.

  • @ LEARJETJOCK SHUT THE HELL UP!!!

  • @deantre23 sure thing Doreen. Next time do us a favor and keep the door closed. ;)

  • If I was doreen I would have threw you in the water to freeze!

  • why dont you be a flight attendant, deal with self entitled and rude passengers, and make a split-second decision on how to safely evacuate 150+ people with NO fatalities..Then talk to me(also a flight attendant)!!!

  • @deantre23 I am a crew member. I have spent my career as a crew member (pilot) in the part 121/135 flying world. The fact of the matter is when you ditch in water you do not open the aft cabin doors. If the airplane makes it through the impact with the water its going to float tail low (Like 1549). She acted on impulse which is not how you train. Notice she refuses to wear the uniform at public events or talk on camera or anything else for that matter? She botched the evac. Plain and simple.

  • @deantre23 I am not knocking all F/A's. I am knocking her. If we make a mistake up front we are smeared in the media, in the eyes of the public, and among other crew. What exempts F/A's from the same? Nothing.

  • you might have your facts down as paperwork and inflight manual is concerned, but if you were in that same situation, you prob would have accidently opened that door as well, knowing you was in a body of rapid and frigidly cold water...Reccuent training does not replace Real life situations...

Ps..People find "know it alls" very repulsive and obnoxious..give it a rest. Thank God ALL are here to tell it!!!

  • and I said, in the previous statement "Why dont you be a FLIGHT ATTENDANT", not a pilot!!!

  • @deantre23 Because I do not have to be one and have no intrest in being one. And who are you to tell me I would open the door? It is called "outside the box thinking" which is the standard Flight Attendants should be using in emergencies. If you are not thinking objectively in ALL circumstances that is when people die. And I would love to be the CA on a trip with you one day. Actually, I wouldnt because if you cannot see past your brotherhood/sisterhood attitude far enough to aknowladge that a

  • Im not interested in flying on one of your papere planes!!! NO thanks ;)

  • @deantre23 very bad mistake was made and if circumstances were diffrent many could be dead. What if that ditching event had taken place someplace over the Atlantic and the airplane was in once peice. It could be DAYS before rescue arrives in proper form. That airplane is the lifeline. Her actions could have been life or death. Your job as an FA is to evaluate properly, think objectively and than check it again before acting. Not to panic. If F/A's were ment to panic we would just hold a lotto

  • even if it did happen in the Altantic and rescue was delayed two to three days, the plane can only hold so much water b4 it sink!!!

  • @deantreQuick, reach up and catch that point before you totally miss it.

  • @deantre23 ahead of departure at the gate with 3 sets of wings and a few blazers and ask passengers who wants to do a safety demo and a drink service. If your attitude is that way than your status in a cabin is only marginally above that of say a traveling aviation enthusiast. If that is your attitude I have a gate agent job for you in DC.

  • Why do you dip shits always gotta comment on the negative side and put these people down? Your ass wasn't in the plane so you have no idea in HELL how you would have reacted. Look, there were no fatlities so SHUT THE FUCK UP! Let's focus on the posititive.

  • she is the only one who tells a different story! She panicked, thats all there is to it...BTW, what a slap in the face to not only US airways, but to her fellow crewman and the pilot who saved her life by not wearing her uniform! Its not about you! Im sure everyone was scared but thats your job!

  • @kellywhunter You are spot on. Shes a disgrace and she is dishonest.

  • Looking more and more she is committing crime here. Doreen Welsh is going to have to point to the passenger before congress cause they are not going to let this go and they shouldn't. She has lied through her teeth! 6 passengers have now testified she opened the door. You can tell she is lying she never tells a story in a factual way always add's I was scared I was shocked blah blah That is who a false story is told

  • Way to go Doreen!

Blame a passenger for opening the hatch when it was your own slack ass that let water in the cabin!

Keep up the good work, babe!

  • WHAT AN AMAZING CREW!
