  • any idea if this would work for a coyotes?

  • @maskedmillionaire no, coyotes aren't the pushing type, they wouldn't enter this trap and if they did get caught, they'd find a way out.

  • If you can make the trap door 2x wider, I think you can trap more hogs.

  • hmmm u can trap other animals to like a dog or a deer

  • You need to place a fence panel underneath the fence so hogs wont digged themselves out.

  • Fantastic One-Way Gate we call this tarp

  • Good video

  • that little guy has his eye on you, he'd tear you to shreds if he had the chance lol

another option for the door is just another panel in place of the door, held back by a trigger, when the pig triggers the trap, it slams the tensioned panel closed, but since the panel is springy, more pigs can come in after the door has closed.

  • 0:50-54 is awesome when the little piggy charges.

  • ...

Ok. Now how you gonna get em outta the trap?

  • @DAILEYericCaryUSA I say for those little ones, I go in and take care of them. If it is big one, kill it. lol

  • @DAILEYericCaryUSA

thats normaly done with a 22 mag to the head akes getting them out of the trap easyer

  • Great catch... I was wondering just how bad is the hog problem where you are? I hunt the Mississippi delta and here Hogs are growing in record numbers. We have the eastern hillbilly brown hog migrating to the flat land and mixing with the Arkansas Razor backs dam what a mean bunch but fun to hunt very tasty.

    Have a great day.

  • Great Trap! Do you have a material list...? It looks like 12 T-Posts 11 4' cattle panels etc... Also, is it round or rectangle? Size? Any info would be great as I wanna put your plans to work here in Georgia...

  • @lionsmgr you've got the material list right, it's round, your just connecting all the panels together and making a 6 or 9 shape with the panels, T post every 4 feet, the trap is around 12-15 feet across, the door can be made with steel plumbing pipe, elbows, heavy duty door hinges and a piece of panel for the middle.

another option is instead of making a door, you put another panel in it's place and make a trigger to hold it back with tension, then when a pig hits the trigger, it slams the....

  • panel into the side of the trap, block their way out, but it gets better, after the trap is triggered, more pigs can get in by just pushing the panel out of the way and it closing behind them, very simple and no need for a complicated door.

  • @lionsmgr a great video to watch for the best example of a 6 or 9 traps is "Corral Trap Wrapup" by wfscextension, it's a great video.

  • Well done video. Clear and simple using things most cattle farmers have or and get with no trouble.
