So I just researched the weight of lions and tigers on the net and the average weight for tigers is 300 to 600 lbs while lions are 300 to 500 lbs. Some tigers have been measured up to 900 and one at over 1000 lbs. But these are averages and it seems that though tigers do have a weight advantage overs lions it aint much. I would route for the tiger in a fight but I would put my money on the lion

Lion's aggressiveness is based on team support. Without it even a hyena can kill a lion. Tiger is solidary hunter with great agility. If the battle is one on one, tiger will win. However, lion has much higher survival rate because they hunt in a group and got backup once they need it. Male lions have intimidation because of the mane they got, but i never saw them being able to hunt a big animal like crocodile, boa etc like the lionnesses(male lion is freeloader). Tigers m or f have done that.

Lion is heavyset compared to hyena so under normal circumstances, hyena won't provoke a lion. However, Hyena has powerful jaws & sharp teeth. They got the weapons, but it's just a matter of courage and weight. Also studies found that hyena is much smarter than the dumb lions. Animal Planet exposed a video about a male lion killed & cannibalized a rival's young cub is still sicking me.

it's rediculous that some people think lions fight more than tigers. tigers fight eachother just as much, if not more, than lions do. they also fight bears, crocs, great apes, elephants, and leopards.
