  • @Napoleon501ste Not sure why you deleted question but here is the short answer. I have no frickin' clue :P

  • @larrywanders Ok, I deleted it because I thought it was a stupid question, because of course lots of words in english are simular to dutch since they are both germanic languages.

  • @Napoleon501ste I didn't think it was a stupid question. I searched over 2 hours and could not find a definitive answer to your original question. Now you have me curious :P

  • Why do they have to ask each person for their vote, In the parliament of the European Union, we vote electronically. It takes up less time.

  • @Santaclausemikey Under our Constitution, a roll call vote (each Senator called name by name) must be held if demanded by one-fifth of a quorum of Senators present, a minimum of 11.

In this instance, the roll call vote was demanded to affirm each Senator's vote was recorded and present to cast their vote.

  • True. As a working American, why should I pay for those who don't or won't work so they can have free health insurance?

Want better health insurance? Get off your lazy ass and work for it.

  • this is a dark day for the usa

  • Congress, both the House and Senate, along with President Obama ignore the wishes of the American people. Over 1/2 of the citizens want no part of this "reform".

Yes this is a dark day for the United States of America when those elected to represent us do as they damn well please despite what we continue to tell them.
