listened to the 8-track fogelberg version when drove through the Blue Ridge mountains after graduating high school in '81. Now, some 28 years later, am taking to the NC mountains again - thinking time - two grown children and this somg will be with me - but on CD instead of 8-track!! Such memories of the gorgeous mountains - such perfect music accompanyment.

Sounds like a great trip. You could really put together a great, personalized soundtrack for the trip on CD now...Along the Road, Carefree Highway, Country Roads, The Eagle and the Hawk, Turn the Page...plenty of mellow, traveling songs. Hope you have fun.
