@LittleBi1 Yes, it is. They have 2 kinds of feces; one is actually like a pellet of digestive bacteria that they eat so that they can digest food better. Totally normal. :)

It is actually okay for them to eat their poop. Because, they do now fully process everything they eat their poop still has nutrients in it that they can use. So I wouldn't worry too much if you can't tell which is poop and which is pellets both are okay in a healthy Guinea Pigs diet.

They could at least have given the mother a house she could hide in while she was giving birth. I would never put my guinea pigs through something like that no matter how curious I was to see the whole thing.
