The bidge with the train tressel is there. The 3C Highway bidge is still there. The ape is gone at the bar below it. why you filmed my street I dunno. The old house at 7:02 i don't thik is there. 8:36 is you going on 3 C highway. Why didn't you get the old powder factory, you were so close to it? LOL in Januarry 1984 I was 13 and bulding my bike up for another year of racing at Joyce Park in Fairfield Ohio.
Yes its all still there, surrounded by 200,000 upto 500,000 $ homes lol.
Hung out in Loveland 1984 all summer as I was spending the summer with my aunt and uncle I was 13 years old.Would ride my ten speed into town to hang out on the bike trail next to the river. The bridge your talking about is actually in Foster off the bike trail and yes its still there.
Wow - My folks lived in that apartment right above Kiwanis Park when I was born. Kiwanis is where we all learned to play T-ball. In Loveland, I grew up on Venice Avenue and later on Park Ave(which is just around the corner). I can't tell you how many hours I spent with John Westfall and the Christman boys playing b-ball, football and street hockey in that park. My folks still live there and probably always will.
Kiwanis park is underneath the viadock which is Mongomery road (22&3), thats not the parl off of fallis. All of the bridges in the video are still there, except the one that was out. There is another bridge in its place now.
Where he is filming isn't much different now than what it was then. The bar across the bridge thats out looks better now, as does the white building thats on the Davis rd side.
22 is on a widening project all the way to the bridge, I don't think they will be going past it.
Excellent job Mike, your quite a historian in your own right, thanks so very much for you did, I just wish more people would take pride in doing such things, thank-you again for your work!
Crazy. I grew up on Ohio Ave. In fact, my dad still lives there. 418 Ohio Ave.
The town totally blew up into this yuppy suberb of Indian Hill, Mason, etc....
My buddies grew up when Loveland was a giant back yard. We used to jump off the tressel over the Little Miami River just south at Loveland Canoe Rental. God, we also had some killer keg parties back there!!!
Mike, I grew up on Fallis Road, which is what the street that Kiwanis Park was on...whose name escapes me, but at the Symmes township line the street name changed. Anyway, it was awesome to see this video! I used to ride my bike down to the ol' Kiwanis Park, my bro played little leage baseball games there. I went to LHHS for two years, then off to other schools before graduating in 84. Bravo to a great video!
Its awesome to get to see places that I will never get to go. Love the travel vlogs! The radio background was really interesting to hear now. Great Vlog!
