Mbox 2 Mini Unboxing

unlucky.. the mbox mini 2 is shit, i brought one thinking it was good like most people.. but the usb creates a hiss/eletrical hum.. fucked up all my beats.. DONT GET ONE PEOPLE..

@1Prevent Its most likely the shitty pre amp in them that creates hiss, but for monitoring it does the job. I'm planning on getting decent USB pres and just using the mbox as a Pro Tools interface.

@1Prevent it happened to me its a very EASY fix bro! all you have to do is buy a GROUND LOOP ISOLATOR from your local Radio Shack. it cost 15$ and thE hiss and noise is GONE! TRY IT i had the SAME problem as you all fixed now

Is that the full protools le 8 that it comes with? and is it compatible with win7 64bit? just wondering cause i'm pickin up the mbox mini soon!

ok thanks for posting an unboxing since there arent very many for this product.. however the video quality was really bad.... i would suggest in investing in something as simple as a lamp to improve it...

I was thinking about getting this but was put off by the lack of midi connectors. Are you connecting your midi controller via your computer usb only? If so, whats the latency like?

@BullyBeat I'm not actually using a MIDI controller, but if I were to buy one it would be purely USB based as I have no hardware synths

So can you use the XRL and the DI? Say you want to sing and record on an acoustic at the same time, is that possible on the mbox mini?

@talagapinoy Yes, Input one is XLR or DI, theres a switch. Input 2 is just a DI

i got the m box used & from a friend,do u know if it works with windows vista basik?,& is there a disk driver that needs 2 B installed with the m.box mini? kuz he just gave me the wires 4 the mbow n the protools pakedge that u showed

im running mine on windows vista and to run it on there i was told that you had to have protools 7.4 or newer....do you have that?

@onyx332886 If you find a legit install DVD of Pro Tools 7.4 or higher it will include all the drivers and the program itself, so you just need that

i just ordered my mbox from musicians friend with a bundle for 399..so i get the interfacing..and mxl990 mic,monitors,mic stand and the chords..but i am glad u posted this so i can know what to expect with my mbox

@Julome 1. No, other Digidesign hardware like the 002's and 003's will work but they are studio grade

2. No, any program that can support a ASIO device/IO will be able to use an Mbox

3. Pro Tools runs in Win7
