I just bought a fuselage like this from alibaba.com for $50 for the trex 450. It DOES NOT have retracts or lights. I DON'T CARE. I'm planning to purchase the 600 Airwolf model that's f#%king awesome!!!

I just started in the hobby and can't stop. I love it. Currently have 2 helis and 1 plane. Planning to get more.

Can you use the retracts with the align 450 if you only have a 6ch radio?

YESSS!! you can, but for do that you will need a gyro like Futaba 240, this gyro don't use channel 5 in the radio, this way you have channel five to retracts.

me I really like the sound of this starting up then flying then landing and winding down - I just wish I could have heard in it's entirety the Complete sound from absolute silence to full power an then at the end after landing and winding down back to utter silence but that's me as i like to HEAR stuff ... p.s. check out my page with over 200 video's of a different sound :) Thanks this is still a kewl video as I was watching the airwolf video's an I came accross this one ... @krumrick2 Love the retracts. I also like how stable it is outdoors, I've tried flying a few mini helicopters outside with bad results. I'm seriously going to consider this one.

yes ...is really stable outdoors even with moderate wind, you have amny options inthe market in this size ( 450 Size), I will recommend the followings brands:

mechanics: Align T-Rex 450 V2 ou 450 Sport

fuselage: HeliArtist

Transmiter/receiver: Futaba/JR/Hitec ( minimun6 channels)

Hi Krumrick2. I'm waiting for my 4ch RTF small Coaxial Dual rotor Red Dauphin. I'm a beginner learning. On heliguy people are said to pick the Belt CP V2 as first heli probably this is a proper first heli but it's 6ch. Is this a first proper second beginner 6ch heli good beginner like they say from my Dauphin? Also is this the Belt CP V2. Because on heliguy.com you have the choice of adding heliartist airwolf fuselage with retractable landing gear. Is this what yours is? Sorry so many questions!

This is an old model, I have a new one with metal landing gear (retractable to).

OMG this thing is great. Please put a small, dark sounding whistle inside this thing to get the cool original flying sound of the shows heli.

Im currently working on a project.

A 450 size CH53E super stallion.

Im useing a heli artist 4 bladed tail mech., and a 5 bladed main head mech. Im building a custom frame and fiberglass body. I know the real heli has a 6 bladed main head but i cant find a 6 bladed head for a 450

Hi what servos do you use on retracts,do you use some sort of slow down unit on them they seem to retract nice and slowly.

The servos for retracts are the Chinese Tower Pro 9 gms. They are cheap and really good.

The slow down efects is a function of my TX Futaba 14MZ called Delay Servo Function.

This is awesome. I bought my own 450SE GF a couple of days ago. Saw a few scale canopies at the store but didn't have intention of buying any. Anyway it's fun to watch you fly.

Previously my Raptor 30V2 has been sitting there for nearly two years since I moved to this crowded city. I don't have a car and I never wanna risk flying something huge like a raptor in town. The T-rex makes a much safer choice for confined area.

Is that using the HeliArtist V2 (500-600)fuselage? I can't identify the scale but it looks pretty big, Are you using a 450 in a 500/600 canopy? It looks wickedly good. I have a Belt-CP and have yet to master the art of "hover."

I have the fixed gear version of the fuselage. Beautiful and probably best one ever made for the 450 size helicopters. I'd much rather have the retractable version though! Nice flying!

I got my heliartis fuselage last week and am currently putting everything together. My fuselage didn't come with a windshield; what did you do to create your windshield?

Hi Donathan There is an error of the people of Heli Artist because all my fuselages come with the front windshield, my fuses didn't come with the doors windows, if you talk about the front windshield I recommend to you make contact with the dealer.

hello!, the retracts come with the kit, its made in wood (plywood) very simple and fragile, i' recomend the mini retracts, from GWS, i' use this in my new Agusta 109 from Heli Artist.
