disc replacment - fix it don't fuse it

I WANT A DISC!! The stuff I am being offered locally is old fashioned rods and bone plugs. I want a disc so I can be active!!

I have 2 herniated discs in my middle back.

I belive they are T9-T7, at this time the only treatment i got was the Steroid shot.

It took 2 shots to remove the pain for now.

what would you suggest, would the disc replacement be better then to coupe with pain?

And what side effects are possible with the disc replacement.

i heard disc replacment was only for one disc, other wise you could end up in pain like you couldnt dream of
