Seriously,I'm with you. But I yearned for a better technical boil-down re the pairing of lens to fone. U mean you lost me at ground glass (and I've worked with plate film and ground glass). Never let a DOP explain anything. We need a lively, passionate breakdown, not the alibi-driven, constraint-amplifying account by an under-confident (not to say untalented) shooter. The phone is our gateway, not the (wearying) "'indie'" angle.
