Thanks for the compliment since I assume by yout statement you can't tell me apart from them, but I'm clearly and easily audibly visible so check your audio gear for issues.
I use an X3 Live cabinet modeller and I make custom marshal-like tones using J45's / Plexi / Plexi Jump Lead 68's heads and then tweak based on the song to get as exact a tone as possible.
The X3L is interfaced to the PC using either USB, SPDIF or monitor cords depending on what I'm doing.
So damn true maybe it's because it's short / has no vocals. But who gives a crap about that because I know from experience when you're book'n down the road at 85mph and Chase the Ace is shaking the glass at 2500w, IT F'Kn ROCKS : ]
Man, that's pretty damn awesome. If you ask me, the solo does fit, but... eh. If you don't like it, that's fine. But you still nailed it! Congratulations...
Thanks I appreciate it. Well yep plenty love the solo and I usually do too but for this particular song there's just something about the driving relentless rhythm that gets me going. When the solo interrupts it, my brain says "DAMN it! Want to hear the rhythm louder!! MUCH LOUDER!".
Always start out that way and then track down the best version of a tab I can locate. A few tabs are perfect, more are 'close' and a lot just suck. But they're good enough to get an idea from if they're wrong. Except for the solo's (I simply don't know the alphabet of the guitar) my ears seem pretty accurate at picking up what's going on in the rhythm but that's my opinion hell maybe I'm wrong and don't know it. Fun trying though.
Right, right... well, it takes a while to get it right, and I guess some people think they have it, and post it somewhere. I seem to be getting better at picking up what's going on through the songs, but not the ones with the craaazy solos. I've figured out D.T well elough, so, yeah. Just different patterns with solos, you know? They get easier to hunt down after a while... but, I don't know my scales either. I should by now... but, eh. Sure is fun lol...
Hey cool glad another likes it. I too found it strange noone had done it yet. There are some V E R Y skilled players around that I'm sure could peg the solo that was removed from my version for reason stated in video info section.
Thanks was just messin around with it to loosen up. Been awhile since played. Still need to search for good HQ site. Probably something with Microsoft Silverlight since that will do direct WMV as-is and retain the exact original quality without the horrid compression warbling I hear from youtube (flv).
Miming.
