  • This my fav show along with DAD's Army and Only fools and Horses.

  • Paul Eddington was a genius. The way his voice changes whenever he gets caught up in "making history" is brilliant.

  • He was teriffic. I always wait in anticipation for him to lapse into his Churchill impersonation whenever he does something right or starts feeling his power.

  • @gamewizard And the change when he has to start again: "-the yeowomen of Britain"!

  • in india we call it panchayat raj in rural context decentralisation from centre to state to village

  • The best serie ever. Intelligent, sarcastic, bright, smart, fun, true, clever, fun...did I say clever? Wonderful actors, and writers.

    Kind of an evergreen.

  • What i call this new scheme Democracy ? lol

  • LMAO

  • new scheme Democracy how hillarious

  • its proportional reprsentation, they had it in Germany in the 1800s and it gave power disproportionately to the upper and middle classes.

  • Germany has PR today, and local government =/= PR. Local government is small regions making decisions for themselves, with central government only making decisions of national interest. PR is simply a voting system that can be applied to any form of democracy.

  • if only they made shows like this today.
