The best way to get better at any exercise or even any sport is by doing the exercise or sport repetitively, over and over and over and over again... Its logical, but its just lazy people that don't want to work and try to come up with alternatives that don't exist.... if you want to be the best you train like the best, the end.
@fedexmol It depends how good you already are at the said exercise, as well as what the action is. Increasing your strength and speed will help you to get better if your progress/skill development has slowed or stopped.
Doing something over and over again can be negative for your performance.
I dont think weight training really helps much with baseball. hitting is more about muscle memory, hand eye coordination, etc...so the best way to improve is lots of hitting drills and playing lots of games against live pitching. I think weight training is ok for baseball players as a way to keeping them fit. They should also do some running. But the most effecient use of their time is playing baseball and spending hours in the cages
@klpinvestments thats just not true it should be lots of running and weight training you will start to realize this once you start gettiing to higher levels of baseball

Get in the cage and show us your hitting. I want to see the results in action.

take batting practice with a weighted bat. That's the best thing to increase your batspeed.

yes it does lead to bat speed. If you have a strong core than it leads to having the abiltity to rotate your hips which leads to bat speed

Too simple...lots of athletes have very strong core, but that does not lead to "bat speed".
