  • Lying in my head watching my mistakes

    I listen to the band

And the drums beat in my head

Pianos chime the sound in this prison of the house

And as the illness comes again can you hear me through the rain

As I listen to the band

  • @CocaineTrashup

You sound like you're the exact same person as me. It's actually a tad startling...

  • WOW The bass Freatlees is all !!!! (L)

  • WOW The bass Freatlees is all!!!! (L)

  • so beautiful and so legendary

  • Man I really miss this band!

I only saw them once in 1996 - I had tix to the show for the coming up tour but had to take a final and then thankfully they played a free gig @ the warf the next day and I was 2 ft away from them as they played the MOST INCREDIBLE set for the SF crowd. I saw a lot of video cameras but alas never found a boot ...

  • If you go to Suede Sanfransisco they have My Insatiable One from the free concert at the warf .I was there also. I went to both concerts and got backstage at the filmore the night before.

  • I saw them in Manchester last week...unbelievable night :)

  • The Two of Us

  • Lying in my bed.

    Watching my mistakes,

I listen to the band they said that it could be the 2 of us

    it makes me cry

  • Lucky enough to catch Suede the last time they toured the U.S. in NYC in '96 for the Coming Up tour. This tune blew me away live and that entire gig is still among my top 3 shows ever seen. The Supper Club. Brilliant.

  • I can't believe Richard was only 18 at that time...

Simply amazing...what else there's to say??

  • i am so in love with Brett, i am so in love Suede. they are everything to me, my whole life, every song, means something different to me. i just wish that when they were around i was old enough to have emotions, and feel love and apreciate them. i hope for a reunion soon..i want to see them for my 15th birthday..<3

  • the tears album was pretty good , it sounded like suede .

= ) , i saw suede in nyc in the early 90's at hammerstein ballroom if remember correctly , Brett sounds perfect live, almost like the cd incredible voice.

  • 'here comes the tears' is actually a brilliant album, as good as anything suede did until 'head music'...

  • have suede broken up?

  • yeah almost six years ago

  • yes, in 2003.

Brett did 2 shows in Perú and Chile few weeks ago.

  • yep but they released an album as The Tears relatively recently with the the original guitarist, good album if you like Suede

  • since december 2003 i believe.

  • brett was so young and handsome.....best voice....

  • Although I think Dog Man Star is perfect, I often wonder whether they should have included the drums from here in the original. It adds something I think?

  • Thank you Meanmaori!

  • excelent

  • L .A!

  • 2:30 - 2:44 --> I don't understand the lyrics here I mean, they are different in the album version right? I can't make out what he's singing ,can anyone please write the lyrics ?

  • No it's not the original lyrics. He's just fooling around. He sings "I caught the smell of your undryed washing you stinking old bint, as though you had just crawled from a coffin or a barrel of shit"! Hope that helped you.

  • i caught the smell of your undried washing stinking old git. a smell like youd crawled out of a coffin or a barrel of shit...(directed towards simon)

  • That was amazing! truly amazing....

  • The best male voice(except my man mr LYDON)i have ever heard

  • a heard this in 1996. still remember a fealing, a smell of space, and cant forget a words. thanks for beauty guys

  • I would give so much to be there, aaaaaah!

    hugs from Poland

  • Wonderful song.

    And Brett is an ARTIST.

  • He's so great isn't he? I MEAN REALLY GREAT, YA KNOW?

  • This is an amazing song, in Dog Man Star Brett´s voice is awesome.

  • ¡Qué grandes composiciones hacían Suede! Brillante.

  • Best band ever from Singapore... Miss u guys....

  • wake up Earth... this the best band in the world... I miss you guys.. love and faith in Chicago.

  • wake up world... Suede is the best I miss you. Love from Chicago.

  • This is a truly great song. The best version of this song I've ever heard was by a string quartet. By comparison, this is amateurish, uncoordinated and out of tune! (And not for effect/affect.) I can't believe people can't hear it.

  • Each to their own obviously, lol.

  • @isherwood Do you have a link, by any chance? I would like to hear/look at it. And you are lucky to have a good ear for music, because before you said this one is out of tone, I didn't pay any attention to the fact that it actually is )))

  • this is one of the most amazing songs i've ever heard

  • my favorite song ever

  • Foi dos momentos + marcantes de minha adolescência... the two of us

  • Foi dos momentos + marcantes de minha adolescência... the two of us

  • Schitterend!!! Niks anders van te maken!

    Freddy

  • I have to agree with gliterpants...Dogman Star is a beautiful album

  • does anyone know who those are on the big screen?

  • its about someone missing someone else. thats all.

  • Great, thanks for uploding, Oh so great

  • Wonderful. Thanks for the video.

  • chanson magnifique rien d'autre a dire

  • i love this song so much, prob my favourite of dog man star

  • simplement wonderful

  • Amazing from one of the best albums ever made

  • Who's the women projected in the background? I feel like I know her, but I can't place her.

  • Wish i knew her

  • altered lyrics:

i caught the smell of your undried washing, you stinking old git

as though you had just crawled from a coffin, or a barrel of ****

    ;)

  • Thank you, the blueoysterbar. After all these years I finally know now!

  • Hehe, thats great! Good old Brett :)

  • I hate smoker except for Suede.

  • i love this song...it's so touching

  • Yeah for sure, this is their best record

  • this is one of the best suede songs . and this album( dog man star) is their best one .

  • WOW! yeah i saw this tour 3 times. the film of the old man was very memorable. well done mike! you see a lot of this type of backdrop-type thing but rarely as good. hey mike did you have anything to do with the derek jarman pet shop boys PROJECTIONS ? they were amazing too. x

  • yep, i did.

  • What are the lyrics in the altered verse that mentions a 'barrel of shit'?

  • I don't think they mean it literally! lol.

  • This is from the dvd. I don't like his alteration of "I heard you call from across the city through the stereo sound, and so I crawl there sickeningly pretty as the money went round." That is such a beautiful verse and then he insults her lol. It's out of sinc too. But Suede adn Brett rock forever! lol xxxx

  • It was a joke. You go a bit mad when you tour. You're taking it too seriously. Don't.

  • Fair enough. The funny thing was that the joke was about someone on the tour crew - but they never knew! lol.

  • it's too good to forget.

  • my most fave suede song ever, back when he could hold the notes!!

  • it is a great song, thx for your video!

  • I wish it were 90's again
