  • HEY BRO U KNOW WAT WOULD COMPLETE UR AR A FOLDING FRONT SIGHT. EITHER BY MAGPUL OR TROY INDUSTRIES. U SEEM LIKE A SMART GUY AND WOULD HAVE NO PROBLEM KNOCKING OUT THAT FRONT SIGHT TOWER. THEN A LOW PROFILE GAS BLOCK.

  • @funnychevy You're right, I could take the front sight off. I simply don't want to though. I like it. I have nothing against folding front sights, I just know I don't want one on this rifle. I have never had a problem with the front sight getting in the way of my EOTech. To each their own though.

  • @newshootersjourney I agree with this. I was dead set on machining off my front post or replacing it with a low profile gas block and going with a folding front sight, but then I realized that was aesthetic and had no real benefit. I trust the front post.

I found a really cheap sling that I like. It's a Tactical Assault Gear 2 point sling that is really cheap. It is easily adjustable either direction. But like you say, to each their own. That's just what I've liked most. Good vid.

  • @ghillisniper300 Thanks for the comment and the compliment. I appreciate them both. I'll have to look into the TAG sling. I like some TAG products. Thanks for the heads up.

  • @newshootersjourney No problem. I have one on order at OpticsPlanet but they are out of stock. It's a $14 sling which would scare me if two of my friends didn't already have them. So far it's been the best sling I've used. Take care.

  • Sell that MS2 sling before it gets to fuzzy, and buy yourself a VTAC 2 point enhanced sling with 2 QD swivels. It's padded and way easier to shorten or lengthen with the pull strap and release buckle. Snap one end into the CTR hole and the other in the rail which has the hole already in it. You will love it. watch my video "ar15 reload how i do it" to see the sling.

  • you are actually wearing it wrong dude, it goes under the same side arm as you hold your rifle with, i'm right handed, so it goes under my right arm not under my left, hope this helped

  • @FreeRunner5000 I'm glad it works for you; however, according to Magpul, for a right handed shooter it is your left arm and head that goes through. That's the way I have it. The way you are wearing it is the way Magpul says for a left handed shooter. But hey, to each their own. I like it on the side I have it on but everyone is different. Thanks for taking the time to comment on one of my videos. I really appreciate it.

  • Nobody EVER has those things in stock....it's VERY irritating. Nice AR btw.

  • @mrfadeaway45 I know. It was hard to find. Now they have come out with the MS3. I feel another purchase in my future!

  • Great vid, but I don't think padding would help, as it would probably go onto body armour and clothing if in actual use, maybe the ms3 will have some padding options.

  • What kind of rear sight do you have???

  • @TheTriplets8x22x88 It's the one that came with the gun. It's the A.R.M.S 40L. It's a nice one. I like that is is so small when folded.

  • @newshootersjourney

Don't really need padding, try with a shirt or jacket not really made for wearing with a T-shirt or no collar. Think designed for military use.

  • @MrSlowpoker Yeah. It's totally fine if I wear a light coat or anything else other than a T-Shirt.

  • Quit gabbing bout padding used this sling overseas for a while. No issues, super strong. Tough up boy!

  • I ran one on my 2L for a couple years and if I felt I might need to go back and forth from a single to a 2 point I would stick it back on but as you pointed out it is uncomfortable on the neck and shoulder. I have another bungee Coitac single point that is much more comfortable. The only thing I like better in the MS2 is that it rides higher. The Coitac lets the barrel bang into my knees even cinched up all the way. Slings like holsters, one will have a drawer full before its all said and done,

  • @ohioleadslinger I'm finding that out. It works nice as a two point, but I want it primarily for single. I'm thinking of doing some modifying to it though.

  • This is a great sling as you us it,you will learn the in and outs of that system.

  • @Dre6k I think it's great too. Just like you said though, I need to learn it's ins and outs.

  • i think u have the sling on backwards the release straps pose to be on the left side of your are watch the magpul vid with chris wearing it and watch him loosen it up.

  • @Dre6k I'm not sure if you are talking about the pull to release the snap shackle that releases the weapon or the adjustment loop, but both are on the left side.

  • Looks like you have plenty of padding.

  • @DSil3nt Ha. Nice.

  • Like you video NSJ,we need to find a padded sling for thee shoulder to take the weight offf,Ron g

  • @jesus20248 Or maybe just a little padding for the sling I have. I'm sure it won't be tough to do.
