Thompson is the creation of the Bush political machine. The fix is in, folks. This goes all the way back to Watergate- Bush Sr. was head of the Republican National Committee and Thompson was Nixon's mole. Bush got appointed head of the CIA and Thompson got tapped by the party bosses to fill Gore's empty senate seat when he became VP. The reason I trust Rudy is because his national stature comes from his performance on 9/11- no political hacks put him where he is.

Part 3. Our president should personify the values that we as Americans hold most dear. Ideally, he or she should be the best and the brightest, the most ethical and the most moral person that America has to offer. Bush has fallen short of this lofty ideal. The fact that Guliani has dressed in drag, repeatedly broke his marriage vows, and has failed to get along with his children would make him yet another embarrassment for Americans as the one we chose to be our 'philosopher king.'
