Sinatra in those years with the Pied Pipers were the best. He was really at his very best then and probably never knew it. And Catspaws, we both know what a pug nosed dream is.

My father often played this song on a juke box at whatever diner my mom and he were at after a night dancing "on the town". One night she told him that she thought it was sweet that he played that song for her. His answer was, "It's not about you...It' about our daughter..."Our pug -nose dream". That was late 1961 and I still have a 'pug" nose. ...

pug nosed dream just means that she has a cute nose/face & is a dream. :-)

& the cap years r king but 1 cant overlook the Dorsey sessions, they are part of the bigger Sinatra picture. Did u know when these recordings were released FS didnt get billing?! it listed him as "With vocal refrain"! he got billing on later recordings but the dorsey sessions were pretty short lived. Sinatra was a boy,20's i think, & you can here it in his voice, still singing in the style the other popular male singers

I'm a hard-core Jazz fan whose interest in Sinatra is more focused on his years at Capital; just the same, this is my favorite rendition of this song.
