@dwayner6406 It was a 4th gear pull, and this motor on an engine dyno makes 470 hp @7000. Already seen it. I certainly hope people are making at least 2 previous pulls to make up for the adaptive strategy built into the PCM. You CANNOT just back it on the chassis dyno right off the street and expect any more than 380. Our first pull was 378, the second pull was 399, and the third was 409.9.
@offroad03able SEVERAL sources INCLUDING GM have had this engine strapped to an engine dyno, and it made over 450 hp. GM even admits to a conservative rating. The LS9 will make 540-550 on a Dyno Dynamics dyno.
@nicconley The dyno we had our car on must be screwed then because we have all new kooks performance headers, cats and cat back, plus a cold air intake and we only got 400 at the wheels with a dyno tune. I guess we wasted 2 grand for nothing.
@offroad03able lol i think this dyno is off. seems to me that they might not be doing something right. i dynoed my mustang 3v it made 263 rwhp after turbo install made 446 rwhp. i bet on this dyno i might make 500 rwhp or more.
@Alfiefordtuner We dyno'd an 09 Mustang 3v two weeks ago and it made 270 rwhp stock. This is NOT a Dynojet dyno. It reads actual torque with strain guages and converts that to hp. (since hp is based on torque, not merely how fast it can spin a big drum) We have an engine dyno as well, and have compared a dozen motors from the engine dyno to the chassis dyno. A customer has an 08 3V with 10 psi twin screw blower, and it makes 465 rwhp. Does that not sound right?
Was this a 4th gear pull? These cars stock are putting down 365-380 at the wheels in 5th.

The numbers just don't add up unless this is an LS9 engine.
