So iconic...no other player wanted it more than mike, no other player had a million dollar smile, no other player had the universal appeal, and no other player could change a game the way MJ could.
Women wanted him and men wanted to be him. Everybody loves what MJ did for the game. I am 25 now, and I remember the last 2x I cried, the second time MJ retired and watching his last game ever against the 76ers. A 10 minute standing ovation for the best player who ever lived
For us who grew up in the 90s as teens, I have to admit we were pretty damn lucky. Sure there were some bad fads, but that happens every generation. NBA was much more exciting with Michael Jordan, Scotty Pippin, and the whole reign of the Chicago Bulls! Oprah hit her high mark, Leonardo DiCaprio made the young girls sigh, and Brad Pitt gave us something to smile about in Thelma & Louise. And let's not forget the tv shows: Seinfeld, Friends, X-Files, etc.
@valleri07 Every generation feels this way. The generation before you feels you missed out on their great stuff. And the generation before them also felt this way. And this generation of kids will tell the next generation that they missed out on great things also.
I want to klnow if someone can help me make a video with the gatorade song but put Mike form Season 9's Biggest Loser because he is from Chicago just like Michale Jordan and two, he is such a huge inspirtation by showing that you can lose weight without surgery. God bless you Michael. Gatorade, please consider doing a remake of this commercial with Mike from the Biggest Loser with Michael Jordan. Anyone likes this comment please post and help me campaign for Mike from Season 9's Bigest Loser.
lol, I always laugh at Larry Bird at the end. This has to be the greatest MJ commercial ever! I a Chicago Bulls sampler cd in '98 and it has this song on it, I listen to this song constantly. I am so excited that he is being inducted into the HOF tonight! Best there is, Best there was, Best there ever will be!!
I agree with the idea to make another updated "like mike" commercial. Just so the youngsters nowadays understand how amazing jordan was. They should have Kobe sing a little, Lebron sing a little and maybe even get every player in the league onto the chicago home court and sing the group parts. Corny but, would gimme goosebumps. Michael Jordan, The best there ever will be.
No! Michael is OURS! He belongs to us 90's kids. I'm sorry the 2000's kids and beyond will never have cultural icons like we did but that's too bad for them.
I remember watching this commercial when the Bulls were playing the Utah Jazz during the NBA Finals, and Jordan made that final shot. Ah man! How I miss the 90s, I'm so happy that my family taped it in the VCR.
this commercial still brings tears to my eyes... no one will ever be like Mike. what he did to basketball will never be repeated. the greatest ever... EVER
I like this one the best because it came at a time when Mike was definitely at his best, showcasing his talent as never before and concluding that season with the buzzer beater at Utah. Most definitely, I still want to be like Mike (the guy still makes like $30 million a year... who wouldn't wnat to?)

Well, I guess it's been 10 years since they launched this re-make.
I think they should make another just to put today's youngsters in check!
No to disrespect today's stars,
but you'll have to admit that the NBA just ain't the same anymore.
