Despite being russian, this is absolutely brillaint. To think that such a converter existed with software I use almost daily! Lets me being MKV files right into Vegas Pro now and I didn't pay a cent to do it! Thanks!

it only covnerted the audio and i clicked video MPEG 4

Please note: This does work make sure you CHANGE the file as the following; .avi .mp4, these are the two most common and most used files.

it says Streaming / Transcoding failed:
VLC could not open the encoder.

@ShakeItUpAUS Make sure that you have a codec that works, or download XVid Codec.
does mkv with embeded subtitles work with this?

You forgot to set the extension as .mp4. Saved as .ps
