It doesn't seem fair even though he got so much life. So i'm so sorry for your loss.... because I know how hard it is.

as for QI, its one of the best shows on TV over here in England....theres also a Dutch version which follows the same structure of having an "idiot" panel member like Allen Davis in the Uk version.

John, Hank, I'm sorry for your loss. I lost my grandad when I was about 5 so, 10 years ago now. It didn't phase me so much because I was young, I wasn't very close with that side of my family (I don't see my dad's half of my family at all) and I always spent my time with I was at his and Grandma Kitty's house playing football in the back lane with my uncle.
John, Hank, my grand-dad died a little before this video was posted, and I know what you're going through. I'm 34 now and it's not abstract like it was when I was 12, now I really feel the loss in a way I can understand.
My Papa was 87, and wasn't in great health the last 7-8 years. I'm glad hes not in pain anymore, and I think he had a good crack at life and went about it in the best way he could. I'm glad to have known him for as long as I did.

When I lost the last of my grandparents at age 22, it was never a comfort to me when I was told "she was old. it was her time. at least she wasn't young." The magnitude of loss is not necessarily dependent on how old a person is when she dies. We're still, as individuals, going to feel to the capacity we've been given to feel. Even the time needed for mourning varies from person to person. But no matter the age, the more you love someone, the harder it is to let them go.
My condolences to your family. My grandpa died two years ago and it's still hard on us. He was kind of the glue that kept us together, you know? However, and this may sound awful but, watching you visibly struggle with a loss like I did two years ago reminds me of how real of a person you are. My great grandmother died 4 years ago, at 94 years old. My mom was never close to her own mother, but she absolutely adored her granny, and was adored right back. I burst into fresh tears about her death just last week when I noticed the quilt she made me when I was 16 was fraying horribly, and possibly irreparable (I probably spelled that wrong)

I know how it feels to not be around when a loved one passes. My great grandpa passes away almost four years ago and I still cry when I think of him. My heart goes out to you and your family and (yes I am aware that you are not Christian but) I will be praying for you all.
My heart goes out to you and John both! I was practically raised by my grandma and she died in June. She had her first heart attack when I was six and she survived. She had her second heart attack when I was 14 (this summer). I was surprised how many people, people I didn't even know, came up to me and told me how good she was. I strive to be more like her now. And I was probably the last to see her alive so I'm thankful for that. Again my heart goes out to you. Here it is :) <3
I know your pain. My grandma was given six months to live two years ago, and she died last Tuesday. The fact that she had been around four times as long as the doctor gave her is absolutely awesome, but I'm still so sick with the feeling of loss and guilt.
It's crazy, but my grandfather died the same day that I watched this video. It's really weird for me because I'm abroad, so I won't be at his funeral, and I'm really disconnected from his death. That's not to say that I'm not mourning, it's just that everyone around me is unaware of this thing that happened and that makes it hard for me to really grieve. This video helped me express some emotion, so thanks for that.

John, Hank, my grandmother died when I was 14. She was the only friend I had throughout a good portion of my grade school and junior high years. She was my support, my confidant, and, since both my parents worked, she was partly mother and father to me. Losing her was a huge blow. I want you to know that we all feel for you, wish we could ease the burden, and as nerdfighters, your chosen family, we will do all we can to make this easy for you. Hank and John I'm sorry for your loss, my last grandparent died when I was just 17 so I've lived all my adult life without them but still think about them freqently.
I can't believe you didn't know about Qi, its only like the most awesome show ever! Its funny its clever its interesting and as you say it has everything!!!

I'm really sorry about your grandfather. The weird thing is we (my cousins and I) call my mom's dad papap/ pawpaw too. He's sick and very elderly, so much empathy. I'm really sorry.

Grief has little to do with the fairness of your loved one's age at death. It's always really hard when someone that you love is no longer here on this planet, whether they were 16 or 105. My thoughts and love are with you and your family. <3

I can completely relate with your feelings right now. I lost my grandma last month and I still have a ton of emotions about it. The important thing is to not think about his death, but to celebrate his life and the great things he did. DFTBA <3

My great grandmother died 4 years ago, at 94 years old. My mom was never close to her own mother, but she absolutely adored her granny, and was adored right back. I burst into fresh tears about her death just last week when I noticed the quilt she made me when I was 16 was fraying horribly, and possibly irreparable (I probably spelled that wrong)
It's always horrible, and I'm really sorry your family is going through it now.

I know how it feels to not be around when a loved one passes. My great grandpa passes away almost four years ago and I still cry when I think of him. My heart goes out to you and your family and (yes I am aware that you are not Christian but) I will be praying for you all.

My heart goes out to you and John both! I was practically raised by my grandma and she died in June. She had her first heart attack when I was six and she survived. She had her second heart attack when I was 14 (this summer). I was surprised how many people, people I didn't even know, came up to me and told me how good she was. I strive to be more like her now. And I was probably the last to see her alive so I'm thankful for that. Again my heart goes out to you. Here it is :) <3

I know your pain. My grandma was given six months to live two years ago, and she died last Tuesday. The fact that she had been around four times as long as the doctor gave her is absolutely awesome, but I'm still so sick with the feeling of loss and guilt.

It's crazy, but my grandfather died the same day that I watched this video. It's really weird for me because I'm abroad, so I won't be at his funeral, and I'm really disconnected from his death. That's not to say that I'm not mourning, it's just that everyone around me is unaware of this thing that happened and that makes it hard for me to really grieve. This video helped me express some emotion, so thanks for that.
