  • This is awesome! The olymp of guitar players just has a good time together and lets everyone take part!

  • Very good version...it sounds very country. Yes, those are Albert Lee and Vince Gill over there! Thanks for posting!

  • Show de bola!!!

  • Leben so wie ich es mag (von Volker Lechtenbrink).

    Carsten

  • haha LOL at 5:48 !

  • Albert Lee !!!

  • Comment removed

  • ty

  • If I was standing next to him, I'd screw up too.... hard to be cool next to a legend.... drool!

  • Is that Vince Gill? Wow...

  • If you cant see that she is in love with Eric you are blind!

  • Tulsa is a little known music city. Leon Russell grew up there and has done more music than most people know. Eric came thru Tulsa and went fly fishing in Arkai nsas. Sheryl never sounded better than on this track.

  • @TheDriverron It is spelled ARKANSAS not ARKAINSAS

  • @kenithj76

Estúpido, escribo en español porque es mi idioma, andá a aprenderlo, imbécil.

  • So she made a mistake with the lyrics, it was her favorite mistake.

  • No se alcanza a escuchar el genial solo de Albert Lee

  • @superfasulo speak English you bastard

  • It does not matter whatever the odds on this video, as long it keeps me rocking...i'll drink to that...really love this kind of tune

  • Not as well produced as the first one...Especially the video..

  • why cant i use the dislike button more ....don wiliams, im just sayin

  • Great Song by Don Williams. Anyone notice the great Albert Lee also playing guitar ?

  • who's on keys

  • @djlegand John Hobbs (Vince Gill's musical director)

  • A lot of old artists changed lyric's or how they play songs. Elvis, Dylan etc. Not so much anymore. Sometimes it's an inside joke with the band. "leaving Arizona...going to arizona" could mean she was stuck in a rut, going nowhere.

  • Is that Jerry Douglas?

  • This is the BEST version of this song - bar none!!

  • eric "the blackest soul in the bunch" even if I like them all, and the song is one of my favourite............good times good playing good people what would you ask more?

  • I am proud to be a native born Tulsan! Thank you Don Williams for this song and for Eric Clapton, one of my favorite musicians of all time, for doing an amazing cover of it!

  • There are so many singers and musicians who have a great version of this song (Don Williams who wrote it, Reba Macintyre, Eric Clapton). Shows how terrific this song is. Somehow this version is really the best Sheryl Crow fits it well but what a treat to have Eric Clapton, Albert Lee, Vince Gill et al

  • Don Williams did indeed record "Amanda" in '73. Waylon made it more famous in '79.

Williams and Clapton both released "Tulsa Time" in '78.

  • Shit.... I don't like the way she sangs

  • Awesome display. These people really know what they're doing, and even more so when you consider it's mostly a 'let's get together and play whatever we think of' kind of thing. BTW.

A little time back there was a cleaned up version of this laying about, can anybody point me towards it? Albert and Eric weren't drowned out in that one, and Jerry's slide was a lot clearer.

    Thanx

  • Don Williams was a very successful country music singer from the 1970s and 1980s, with several #1 hits. He had a very smooth, mellow sound. I love his music. He and Clapton both recorded Tulsa Time in 1978. Williams' version went to #1. I like the singing of Williams' version better, but the guitar playing of Clapton's version is better, of course.

  • we LOve clapton/ tuinui of thailand / udontani/ good! good!

  • How much i missed that time?

  • cool shorts.

Chill out people! They were just having fun and watching them playing together on stage is pretty fun.

  • Sheryl Crow sucks! Leave the singing and playing to Eric!

  • Please leave this song to the master, Don Williams.

  • @Fundive1 Don Williams who?

  • @kucinggarongism

Please tell me you're just joking........

  • @Fundive1 At the risk of sounding stupid, who's Don Williams? I thought this was a Clapton song

  • @Looneyboyo I appreciate your honesty. Don Williams was the original artist that recorded this song. Check him out! Pork chop side burns, cool country sound. He also recorded a song called, "Amanda". Very mello voice. Good stuff. No, you don't sound stupid, my man. Stupid people don't ask good questions.....

  • @Looneyboyo Made a mistake. He didn't record Amanda. He recorded, "Till the rivers all run dry." Sorry. Check out, Don Williams though. You won't be disappointed...

  • @Fundive1 What about Danny Flowers, the guy who actually wrote it?

  • Sheryl Crow give up. do the world a faver give it all up

  • stupid

  • agreed

  • some of these players need their amps turned up, i.e, eric, albert and vince

  • Loving the shorts Eric :)

  • she left arizona to go to arizona or maybe california

  • i noticed that too, but did give a damn.

  • Vince Gill did pretty good too

  • Great

  • that's Albert Lee!!!

  • Jerry Douglas is ripping it up as usual. What a champion!!!

  • tres bonne chanson et tres beau video clip lacher pas gang

  • just realized this is a Chuck Berry song.

not written by him, but exactly his kind of song.

  • love this song !

  • ah haha lol at the image of clapton on a stick!!

it's around 2:06 or sumthing.. looks awesome!

  • hahahahah yea cool!

  • wonderful duet !!! I love!!!!!

  • I agree with country westerngal. It's one thing to wing a song but for an event which Clapton sponsors, you'd think they'd rehearse a little more to ensure a good show for the fans instead winging it. The whole show was pretty much like this.

  • She goofs the lyrics from the start, that's what they are laughing about. It's "I left Oklahoma..." and if you ask me, she's stinking up the place!

  • YEAH!!!!!!!!!!

  • I gotta agree. No one sings this song like Don Williams, he owns it. They should sing anything but this classic.

  • Vince Gill killed it. Who is the slide player before him, with the crazy technique?

  • That's Jerry Douglas playing slide on the telecaster. You can see he's using a "bar" instead of a glass slide and the neck is a square-neck like that of a dobro.

  • Thanks! I don't know how I got notched (-1) for stating that Vince Gill is a mother of a guitarist? Maybe someone misunderstood 'killed it' and thought I was insulting him!

  • Can you believe that!... flux! on stage with the best of the best! He is the best of the best on Dobro

  • Man vince gill rocks, i love him! cowboy up probaby my fav song of his in this concert. and albert lee...nothing to be said, just the greatest player ever man, love it!

  • jimpson7: Vince Gill does rock! "Cowboy Up" is also a great song and, Gretchen Wilson's voice on harmony vocals definitely adds to it.

I would love to see Brad Paisley on a Crossroads DVD in the future though...maybe Paisley, Gill and Lee playing together live--that'd be great!

  • Love this. She's great.

  • eric luk old already =p

  • oh my god, what is she doing, she just butchered Don Willams song

  • I guess it is...

  • Is that Albert Lee in the Background?

  • Is it not I left Oklahoma driving in a pontiac just about to lose my mind??

  • She has an odd quirk... she has trouble remembering the lyrics to the songs... even songs she wrote herself.

I saw her in concert and she screwed up the words to "Soak Up the Sun." Imagine how many times she's sung that one! Everyone had a good laugh - including her.

  • @MoreSherylCrow You're right about the Pontiac thing. But she says it like Pawniac!

  • Yep - I'm glad I'm not the only one who noticed ...

Even Eric gives her a look like " WTF ? "

  • @ozzman200191 Rock & roll will never die!

  • @ozzman200191 According to Sheryl Crow"she was leaving Arizona...going to arizona"

  • @ozzman200191 Yep. Sure is. goin' out to Arizona, maybe on to California where the people all live so fine...... Don Williams, and one kick-ass song.

  • @ozzman200191 every song that is copyrighted can't be performed the same way everytime so the words and or beat has to vary each time.

  • Way to botch a song Sheryl - this is the worst

  • Uh, chief, are we listening to the same song?

  • They must be good friends lol. Clapton sounds way better without Cheryl IMHO. I think perhaps that can be credited to the worst mix (volume)imaginable on the guitars. Shoot the audio engineer.

  • allright

  • I just read that Eric and Cheryl were an item once...LUCKY bastard!

  • He give her a look on stage like " I've seen you naked before" GO CLAPTON!!!!

  • Nicely said!!!

  • @BATENKILL okay I think I missed this...where lol

  • @BATENKILL Right on. Even god gets embarrassed singing so close to Sheryl on the mike...

  • @BATENKILL

    He certainly did.......

  • what a nice cover, thanks por posting it
