i found this today by complete fluke bcause im an argonian and i was thinkin, man i wonder if a dev put an easter egg off this coast behind anvil in the middle of butfuck nowwheres and sure enough like 10 seconds later i found it the helm and so now i have a light armour helm and im only lvl 2 :D

Oh man wtf. I found the skeleton. It was tricky to find because I was expecting to see a glowy thing. There was no fin gleam. :( Unless there's multiple skeletons scattered around the same rock?

its not a rare artifact. its a unique item. artifacts are different in apperance and there is only one of them. and why not wear helmet soon as you get it so you dont have to pump potions?

If you have good willpower (to regen mana faster or use less mana, can't remember) and intelligence, buy water breathing spell, it makes you regen all your breath, then stay at max breath, and when you run out, just use it again until you find it, also, there is a glitch to see all underwater, barely tap up on the joystick (on xbox 360) and it will show all underwater without the water showing, if you see something green using this glitch, go look.

Dark Elves rule, 3 of my characters have been dark elves, and they already have a resistance to fire, useful if you go into Oblivion, as well as the ancestor ghost which is useful for the first few levels. Fin Gleam would have definitely helped me with my other characters though :P.

you got to level 256 legit?

without changing the game, it takes 10 major skill increases to level, if you make a class as horrible as possible, that is, all your major skills aren't increased by anything, the lowest they can be is 25, which means you get 75 increases towards level per skill, you get 7 skills, so, therefore, without changing anything, 52.5 is the MAXIMUM a character can get to, so you CANNOT get a level 256 argonian bard legit.

actaully you can. go to jail multiple times and you will start losing major skills like block and armorer after awhile. the max is 255 you cant get to 256 even with console commands. but without using the shivering isles glitch you can only get to 226.

I did this by dipping below the surface with the camera, and then diving to find it.

It took forever, and I almost died, but it's worth it! Fin Gleam lights the way through Oblivion and countless dungeon crawls, so it negates tedium with worth.

I went after it after I had the bouyancy spell from one of the mage guild quests. The Jewel of the Rumere is also easy to get, and gives you water breathing. Complete the "Go Fish" quest. You can also try enchanting equipment with water breathing at the arcane university, if you're a member. It's much easier to dive for Fin Gleam when you don't have to worry about air.
