They werent bad tanks, in fact they were top tanks when they first came out. Problem was that they were badly used and obsolete in barbarossa, but in the spanish civil war the BT tanks were the best light tanks.
Bt-5 tanks were 72km/h fast on street. And the Bt-7 achieved even 86km/h on street and 55km/h off roads. That is even faster than the modern M-1 and Challenger tanks.
Yea there were no t-35s in this vid they were T-28s but thats ok cause the T-28 had a much better combat record than the T-35 lol but the T-35 is still a beastly tank.
@pedowife4kids 72 km/h war der BT-5 schnell, der BT-7 schaffte sogar 86km/h! Auf der Straße versteht sich. Und das ging nur auf Kosten der Panzerung, die 12-25mm dünn war.
The BT-5, BT-7, and T-60 were in their prime during the Spanish Civil War when they faced Italian and German tanks which didn't even have cannons. It's amazing that Franco actually won that war.
Russian tanks were better than German tanks in 1941.... the Red Army just wasnt ready for the attack it was unorganized and uninformed it just had a sh1tload of tanks and men.
I think that "T-35" is a T-26.

@BVargas78 Agreed! except they WERE used the proper way, it's just that in a defensive war against any country you don't need fast tanks.

T60's didn't even exist during the spanish civil war. They didn't come out, till 1941. T26 & BT tanks were the light tanks during that war
Yngsamurai3 2 years ago
@PraetorianMan He got the 8,8cm Flak and the support by the Luftwaffe as Legion Condor. That's the reason.
