  • Assholes, Ronnie suffered a massive stroke- and actually did perform with the faces even though he had to be led out on stage to sing the chorus- we all miss him, he was one of the greatest Bass players and song writers of our generation- so when I hear people say he sounded "fucked up" or other nonsense- count your fucking blessings he gave us as much as he did- same goes for John Lennon- bet you wouldn't put him down-

  • They really did wear it well that night, Ronnie`s last gig a night that Everyone who was there will remember for THIER OWN personel reason i knowI WILL

  • Wow, he's pretty fucked up in this video haha. I guess it was the 70's, different times.

  • @tonzone21 point of view , i find him beautiful

  • Man, one of the worst Rod the Mod vocal performances I've ever heard!

Terrible, by his usual standards. Sounds like a normal singer.

  • @MrCeej9999 that's true, he sounds fine. usually he sounds amazing!!

  • wow the Faces !

    Great track !

  • @breffnipark

Stewart/Wood in the 1970s, were thought of along side Richards/Jagger

  • kind of sad that this was ronnie lanes last gig with the faces. stewart and the faces had some fantastic songs during these days, then rod went on to his solo era with all his crappy pop-disco music which couldn't hold a candle to the classic faces stuff.

  • edmonton canada?

  • nice band! anyone knows the set list of the concert?

  • The way he dresses, its just crazy - and fantastic

  • just the best ...

  • This is not even There tune!!! They Robbed It From English Blues/guitarist Wizz Jones!!! Robbin Wankers!!!!!!

  • Wonderful that this is alive and well on film!

Er...is it me or are they all a bit famously pissed?

  • As good as The Rolling Stones live.Amazing band.

  • Nobanisnoob, I think it's a Zemaitis, a make that Ron Wood used loads in the early seventies. I could be wrong but it looks like it.

  • excellent thank you - A greatly underrated band - for anyone who is less than impressed just remeber that John Peel stated that The Faces at Sunderland Empire 1972 was one of the best gigs he ever attended and if anyone knew a great band it was John Peel. Thanks again

  • great guitar ronnie woods what is it anyone

  • Lewisham Odeon, must have been 1974 (think Tetsu was on bass???). I was 13 and was given my baptism into the world of good time rock n roll! Loved em all. While all my mates were wetting themselves over the Osmonds and the Bay CRs, there was I cementing my love of one of the greatest bands the UK produced. Shame Rod took the lucrative American Swoon route: just not my cuppa tea. And Ronnie Wood......silly billy. But as soon as I hear a Faces rift, there's just no mistaking. RIP Ronnie L xxxxx

  • @1960gal

my hubby loved rod and the faces but went right off him when he took up with

Ms Ekland and went a bit soft lol.

  • @pargaluvva - LMAO!! So did I!!!! But then I was a really sophisticated 14/15 yr old, with all the poise and glamour that went with that...in 1974/5 LOL!!!

Saw a picture of Brit last week: she looks good.....the b*tch ha, ha!!!! Fun times were had by all

  • My favorite song from one of my favorite blue-eyed soul singers, favorite bands...but he sure misses a lot of notes here. Still, thank you ever so much for posting. Faces were Gods.

  • i just love the faces.. this song always makes me dance..

  • These guys didn't rick as much on this song as they were to do two years later in December 1975 with Tetsu!

  • the point you're missing is Ronnie was an original Faces type person...Saw them in 75 too...last tour...with Tetsu....not the same.....Lane wrote....yeah he was a lousy bass player..he knew it...but he was an original Faces type person...

  • sorry read this comment 3 times and still cant be sure that you really mean "Ronnie land was a lousy bass player"

    are you serious???

  • Poor Tetsu, couldn't hold a candle to dear old Plonk........the day Ronnie Lane left was the day the Faces died!

  • Anyone know what that bass is that Ronnie Lane is playing?

  • Lane and Wood are both playing Zemaitis guitars.

  • Excellent song! Way to go Ronnie & Rod!

  • Brilliant - Would be even better if Tetsu was on Bass. I Wonder what the Stones would've made of this song? I wonder how Keith would have attempted this song?

  • king rod.

  • I hope Rod & Ronnie do an album together in the future. Would love some good old Rock N Roll from them !!!!

  • Now that would be fun!!! A drunkfest where Ronnie brings Rod back into R&R and just write some kickass songs? Then dance off into the twilight...good idea MRG!

  • Magic Ronnie & Rod, play again together!!

  • My favorite Rod Stewart song. Thanks for the post.

  • Great post. Thank you.

  • Saw him at the Omni in 75 or early 76. Before he sold out and started with the disco junk.

  • "I've been meanin' to phone ya' from Minnesooooota"

He even gets the accent right!!!

    Rod rules!!!!

  • omg!..PERFECT!..thank you laura060366 for this great share...oh this is really a good one of Rod.....oh he looks so good....thank you to the uploader..really a great treasure.....5*****
