1. He gets paid less for 2 reasons. Jeter plays in New York, which equals inflated contracts, while Punto plays in Minnesota which underpays players. And besides that, Jeter is the better overall player.

2. Punto is a 3B, so he wouldn't have that play very often.

3. What does his hitting .210 have to do with his defense. Punto is a top notch defender, and a joke at the plate.
