I've never sided with any religion at any point during my life. If people want to believe then that is just great. Each to his or her own.
I personally find it shockingly ignorant to think we are the only living thing in the universe. My view is this: IF we are visiting some day by an alien life form I will not have lost or gained anything. I have no faith to abandon. So who really stands to lose here?? Not me.

You can use whichever shoddy translation you wish, but try to verify what you are upholding. Talking of upholding, the Bible says the earth is round and hung on nothing, scientifically accurate and way before the wisest me in the world came up with a theory about a giant holding a flat disc up. When you start looking at the pervasiveness of the march towards a global new age and the specific attacks on and within Christianity, it is unmistakable. There could not be such a force pushing for this at this scale unless it was objective.
