I went to the show in LA & can tell U Velvet Revolver sucked arse. Scott Weiland was so fucked on H he could hardly speak, but just like Ozzie, sang fine when he did sing. Why VR headlined the show, I don't know. AIC is so much better than VR. And of coarse the new singer isn't the same, but at least he does a stand up job of it. I liked him just fine. Slash is cool, yes, but one man doesn't make a band like VR bigger or better than AIC, which has TONS of hits, not just one OK song like VR IMO.

well, in vietnam big gunners (heavy machine guns and flamethrowers) were often the most shot at and most feared soldiers by the viet cong. to be one of them you needed to be very confident to instill fear in your enemies. there were given the nickname roosters to exemplify their cockiness.

The sad fact is addiction is a disease it is not a choice... Once you get pulled into the ugly truth of using drugs and depending on the drug it is so hard to get your self out... I truly don't think Layne wanted to take his own life. Come on you shouldn't blame him. Does everyone blame Elvis? NO does everyone blame Kurt Cobain? I know a few people that have become addicts and no it was not by choice, true it wasn't heroin it was to pain pills and back when they got addicted it was before doctors warned you about it. How do you know that Layne wasn't addicted to pain pills first and like marijuana they are gate way drugs as well. As for AIC moving on and recording now... I would never choose to listen to their new stuff because Layne had a very unique voice.

I went to the show in LA & can tell U Velvet Revolver sucked arse. Scott Weiland was so fucked on H he could hardly speak, but just like Ozzie, sang fine when he did sing. Why VR headlined the show, I don't know. AIC is so much better than VR. And of coarse the new singer isn't the same, but at least he does a stand up job of it. I liked him just fine. Slash is cool, yes, but one man doesn't make a band like VR bigger or better than AIC, which has TONS of hits, not just one OK song like VR IMO.

Cheap trick...slowing down the song allows the singer to hit the notes better. DuVall not great. If I sang the song this slow I'd sound good too.
