  • you actually think the internet they provide you will allow free thinking? you have another thing coming! They will block any site they consider free thinking or against the government. This is a very bad idea. and they will sneak it in under the guise of more jobs and helping the poor.

  • broadband in the U.S. is plagued by the lack of public regulation, private investment and market competition. Fiber should be everywhere telephones are, and the public should pay for it like the interstate system while the private market maintains the service for a very small monthly fee. Currently it costs 40 - 70 dollars for broadband - it should cost closer to 10 dollars after the infrastructure is put in place through public works.

    But ya, the U.S. is behind when compaired to Asia/Europe.
