@joshuabb78 When the engine and all the other components aren't broken in, it means that the internals haven't settled yet. Pushing them hard could result in complications later in the car's life. I don't know how to explain it technically, but a total engine rebuild after 60k miles wouldn't be unrealistic. However, if you drive it conservatively for the first 1000 miles or so, the engine should be fine for the life of the car.

@henryleder Of course they don't compare, the Altimas mechanics especially the VQ35DE engine that has been in the Maximas and G35's is a much better and more refined engine. What the Genesis has going for it? RWD, other than that the interior is garbage, the car looks like crap and its Korean made. Also its V6 3.8 with more HP is as fast as a manual Altima sedan. At the track it should be faster.

Look....the Genesis (feature wise) is a luxury car. RWD, available V8, 6spd auto.

The Altima is none of these things...it's your basic midsize sedan. I don't like the Genesis, or Hyundai, or any Korean car, but I call it like it is....anybody arguing that the Altima is a better vehicle needs their head examined.

Japanese certainly isn't the only way to go. The Koreans are smashing the japs right now. Toyota fans be afraid.
