For those that consider this as a great design, I suggest to google "Didier Favre" to see how this man designs his aircraft. Apparently Kalbermatten didn't see the use of any testing or modeling, which led to the death of his test pilot.
That doesn't necessarily mean this is a bad or a dangerous design... but it should make one cautious...

@verdemanthe1 Not quite true, a paraglider (parachute) is an inflated envelope, and is not any less susceptible to deflating than this would be. Well actually, the parachute is probably more so, since it already has much larger openings. Assuming, that is, that the material on each are of equivalent strength/characteristics.

This is a very smart and outstanding machine. I congratulate the inventor for having the gusto to follow through with it. Seeing is believeing and this video proves that it works.
I have flown many different types of powered parachutes and hold the unofficial altitude and time to climb to 3,000 meters record in a PPC. I also manufactured some PPCs for a short time when the market was still sound. I need an inflatable PPC wing next. :)
I fail to see any difference between it "popping" this inflatable wing and a powered paraglider wing tearing. Both are deadly failures. If you fear one, you gotta fear the other. I cannot see the paraglider as being any safer than the woopyfly other than by proof of time spent in the air without incident, e.g. flight hour to failure ratio. Of course, this inflatable will have no basis to compare. Give me a fixed wing!
I must say very creative and innovative combination of existing technologies. Appears to combine the advantages of a trike and paraglider with none of their disadvantages. My biggest concern would be those tiny landing wheels. Hit a rock pr gopher hole and you'll be using the wing as an airbag.
@broncosdude93 yah but that thing is not worth $12,500 Thats to much for 35lbs of plastic, a lawn mower engine, and a stroller thats a rip off but at least it flys
@DrPilotRedC This aircraft seems very light therefore it would most likely fall under part 103 as an ultralight vehicle...these require no sort of license to fly in the U.S. It would be very unwise to buy and fly without receiving some sort of professional training!

But a cool rig for calm day flying.

simply amazing! the fact that you can store the aircraft in your trunk on take off and land so quickly in a small field makes me want one!
