When she is talking about playing "the younger version of somebody else" (1:20) she is talking about a TV series called "Medium." She is on the episode "But for the Grace of God." I know this because my mother is a huge fan of the series. I remember when I first saw her I literally waited for the credits so I knew her name. Ever since then (2008) I was a big fan!
Hello wahooo She is Perfect Actress in a Art type act If she don't gos to glamorous type act and taring to show her body & beauty Because she doesn't have these
@TigerRifle1 Well, I personally love films with an ominous atmosphere, and this film had just that -- spades. Stylistically, it was a lot like No Country for Old Men. Also, it had a riveting story (although I had already read the book, so I knew the outcome) in a setting rarely depicted on film. All of those factors appealed to me.
I have watched Winter's Bone 7 times now. It's not that I don't have anything better to do, it's just I haven't seen a really well written script in such a long time. Jennifer's acting is beyond words, as well as many of her co-stars. Several are from that area and have never acted before. I sure as he'll couldn't have noticed. What a great job by the casting director.
@priv8partz@tdelbruegge Rubbish film by a pseudointellectual who knows nothing about MIssouri and meth dealing trying her best to construct a film. had no credibility whatsoever despite what the critic said. What nonsense
@priv8partz Wow, you've beat me by a couple; I've only seen it 5 times....:) And I'm thrilled that it's gotten oscar noms for Jennifer, best pic, John Hawkes!! and best adapted screenplay. The novel is amazing and the screenplay writers did a great job in transferring it to film. I actually think the latter award may be the best chance for a win. Everyone raves about Jen understandably but John Hawkes also gave a performance of a lifetime.
@priv8partz: Oh thank god, LOL. I found out she was going to be Katniss in the Hunger Games and I've never heard of her before and I was kinda disappointed and doubted her acting abilities to be Katniss but your comment about her acting made everything all right, ahaha. :P
I am very excited to see this picture, I live near NYC in the US, is the film going to be shown here? Which cities and where? I went to college in Springfield, Mo. and would love to see the film.
Hire me!
The way she says it is utterly hilarious!

"...being made into an Avatar...": She almost does that in X-Men: First Class as Raven Darkholme / Mystique.
"... sci-fi ...": If she gets the role in "The Hunger Games" she'll get to be in a potential awesome sci-fi thriller.

her accent was a little bit thick--i'm from the place this was filmed and very few of us and really none of the young kids talk like that.

I saw Winter's Bone, besides Jennifer's performance I don't get the appeal of the movie.
