@ThePearberr Docs don't cure anything, that kinda stuff happens with the medical research scientists...and even if they DID cure cancer, you wouldn't know about it for 10 years while they battled in court over patent rights.
Instead, employers hire people like illegal immigrants and outsource jobs to other countries, who they can pay less than the minimum wage. Indeed, the minimum wage is large reason that we are losing jobs to illegal immigrants and workers in third world countries. While the minimum wage may sound like a good policy, it ends up hurting the very people it was meant to help.
im a libertarian and dont support min wage, used to be a socialist but i've realised that if the min wage is raised it doesnt actually mean the poor get any richer, because products and such will become more expensive in reaction, if a company is shelling out a high wage then it must also increase its prices, min wage means they all do so those who would be on min wage dont gain and can lose purchasing power (say the average low wage = $4 PH but someone makes $5, then min wage is set to $6)
@ImEuanAndIGotsSkeelz some things are not affected by inflation as much as others, and for many of the bare essentials the rate of inflation isn't anywhere near the rate of increased wages. The myth of minimum wage increase = instant inflation is a total myth perpetuated by the wealthy who stand to lose the absolute most from it.
And I dont think that would hurt employee performance any. Motivation & performance are inverse to pay. An example, the service industry employees always happy to serve like good little slaves vs. the higher paid management and CEOs who do as little as possible. Deep down most people are masochists and its not nice to deny them the abuse. At the same time some aren't & its good that they can exploit others. It's a type of symbiotic mutualism
That would work except that any good capitalist can twist the rules around if the company is big enough. I would make a holding company consisting mostly of an executive board, I would make the profitable company a subsidiary of then create other subsidairies with much fewer employees, and launder the profit upward through them, Of course i would be on the payroll of all the companies.:-)
alright... probably got points taken off for not being too accurate (or not, unless your teacher/professor has really read their Marx+Lenin+Mao+etc...). still gave it 5 stars =)
I think the reason corporations don't work like this is because they manage to be successful through exploitation and still satisfy the shareholders, so they see no reason to change. But a good idea in theory (just like communism, eh?)
thumbs up! i think it'll be pretty effective, especially if they let you play the music in the background while you talk. sounds much more patriotic that way.
I thought you were hot until you attacked my precious, Ayn Rand, and said that Greed was detrimental to society.
Fuck the person who cures cancer, they were probably seeking a profit! Douchebag doctors are ruining America and I wish they would stop!

Great idea!! =D
I couldn't understand everything you said because I'm brazilian, so, spoken english is difficult for me.
If I heard right, I understood the idea of minimum wage according to the corporation's profit!
Is that theory yours?
Actually, I don't think this is gonna work in this society, but I appreciated your interest and creativity! =D
I have lots of ideas about this topic too, and if you like, we can talk over the internet!
But, anyway, I'll include you in my list to send my work...
