Awesone song...how can you not want to sing this songs ending without all your friends drinking a beer and belting it out with you.........I hope these guys stick it out for the long haul.-
One of my favorite of the NPs' songs. I think it's so effective because the whole album before this has sort of funny/witty lyrics and is very up-tempo/classic pop/some modulation stuff, and then this comes on with the fist-pumping chord sequence and Dan Bejar talking about revolution and self-reliance. Too good. Also, yeah, the Destroyer form is really enjoyable, though definitely a different feel
It's interesting to hear how much this song changes from Destroyer to the New Pornographers. Dan even sings on both and they still end up so different! it's also amazing to hear how much they've changed and how far they've come as a band!
