  • Jobs, Jobs, Jobs, that's all I hear about, but any attempt to create jobs by deregulating the petroleum sector is often met with stiff opposition and a debilitating national strike that is very reminiscent of an old anti-colonial protest, I have never seen a nation where the labour union is so powerful they are capable of shutting down both the government and the private sector, Nigerian workers take their vacations by going on strike, it will be hard for this country to develope.

  • What waste, how many cars do you need in a convoy? Don't they watch other leaders, how many cars are in Barack Obama's convoy? This idiots do not know how to manage tax payer's money in a country where nothing works.

  • Surely, he is the president of the day. Nothing wrong with that! or is it because he's black?

  • @ifueks Amen

  • They have always looked good in black, its thier favorite colour. Black Mercedes Brigade, have come to celebrate the independence of a hungry nation.

Its like the time when people thought the earth was flat, or if you walked far enough you could reach end of the earth.

  • The upulence and luxury of the Shiny Black mercedes benze with horses riding along side is amazing. President of great nation like nigeria deserve nothing less, maybe the world will give us some respect for a change.

Lets all celebrate this era of opulent madness before the party is over, common sense restored, hungry stomachs well fed, orphaned children well looked after, refugees abroad back home.

Until then, party upside down , till the neccesary calamity to bring things right side up.

  • Whoever posted the video. You should respect the position of the "President" even if you dont like the man. Thats a basic civilized behaviour.

  • @MrOneBlackMan Respect ke?? Please oh!! We can only respect a president with integrity.

  • This video is sickening and is a huge disgrace. May God help the innocent people of Nigeria.

  • I am speechless. This is how they were told and sworn to treat us. We can either accept it or reject it. No one can attack the President and his Fat Cats. Ooops!!!!!!!

  • its simple. He is the bloody president of NIGERIA, he is not meant to arrive in a bicycle besides there are alot of dignitries escorting him in the convoy. and for all those complaing on here and in the video, let them reflect on their lives because there are alot of people worth billion and millions in Nigeria, and they have worked hard for it. Or do they expect jonathan to give away a million naira to every nigerian citizen?? BLATANT RUBBISH. Obama doesnt move around in a kia gaddamn it!!

  • Now that is a whole lot of S-Classes even by African politicians standards

  • God bless the person who posted this!

  • Does the fool that made this video expect the President of Nigeria to ride a motorbike without any security just to please him? Idiots who donot know what it takes to govern a country as vast and diverse as Nigeria.

  • "Dem dey chop our money dey deceive us". Well said. Why would a sane Nigerian got to watch this parade of shame any way?

  • @AfricanEagleDo you know it cost US $2billion for Obama inauguration and it cost the tax payer of America $3million when the president went to dinner with his wife in New York? The entire city was closed, I was there. But most of the critic here would think it was necessary, because it is ok for white people to protect their president not blacks. Inferioty complex! Yes there is waste in Nigeria. However, spending 17billion on independent and to make sure ur presidnet is safe is not one of them.

  • @nosaokuns do you also know that the GDP of the US is 40 times that of nigeria and your ignorance is shown by even making such a comparison...or maybe your being involved in the political ring or lastly that you are not a nigerian...one of those mercedes worth around 150,000 would pay the minimum wage(just doubled) to $100 dollars of 1500 workers for a month...are you kidding me? do you know what 17 billion naira to the average nigerian means?

  • @bloodless90 do you also understand that when $2 billion is spent for obama's innaugration, a huge amount of that budget goes into the american economy...How many of the products used during that independence do you think were produced in nigeria? how many of the cars? how many of the bribes given entered into the hands of any civil worker? how many of those guys on the horses do u even believe got any extra bonus? gtfoh, ignorance

  • No offense tho, i actually get your point. But the US is also fucking more than 2 centuries Old!!! so you don't compare them to Nigeria atall. and 17 Billion Naira is about 114 million dollars and about 68 million pounds it is a whole lot to any average citizen of any country on Earth, so that was blatant rubbish. and if you want so much change or whatever, why dont you go back to Nigeria and make a change??...well like i said before, i mean no harm.

  • @xquizit55 I don't think you got my point, that post was a reply to someone WHO COMPaRED the obama inaugration to this, I would not on my own compare the usa to nigeria but it was done and I was infact only showing the stupidity of the comparison so no it's not blatant rubbish. While 114 million dollars is alot to any one, according to GDP per capita that money will only take care of 2500 americans for a year contrast to 55,000 nigerians a years...I'll ignore ur last ignorant statement

  • @bloodless90 Well i now understand where you stand, and apologize for my last statement. it just gets annoying to see people always comparing and criticising Nigeria always, while they are not better off. Everyone always says that the leaders in Nigeria are the problem, but i believe that every citizen of that country has to have a re-think and know if they are actually better off. Good argument by the way

  • @nosaokuns ...but really thats a lot of money.

  • Thanks to the rain, the only road in the country not covered in mound!

  • Bad ppl

  • Its a shame! And I'm African American. Africa has some of the most beautiful ppl

  • hahaha dis video is funny

  • This president is not God. the whole procession/ convoy is way too much for a country in Nigeria's position and it's damn annoying. He gets 2 enjoy such protection while his people suffer 24/7. A good leader never eats unless his followers are satisfied. i'm just so vexed right now! SMH

  • Dont pay Nigerians any mind, I dont know where we learnt this bad atititude, but we truly refuse to work. we have by far too many rural to city migration, which is also matched by too many Nigerians going to "Yankee" or London, let more people farm in that country with vigour and zest without being self conscious, as we like food reach for Naija, they would make a killing, but na lie we all want jobs in ministry, in banks, in oil company. keep waiting Naija..you go tire.

  • @blamaco is that really the problem of Nigeria?even when it comes to farming our leaders still have their own roll to play but what have they done to encourage farming in Nigeira, there are lazy people every where, are our leaders doing their own path the way it should be? ,can those in farming send their children to school with what they get from farming? our system is so bad that must Nigerians does not even have identification

  • To be honest, I feel embarassed that I moved here to london, but at the same time, Nigeria has issues. How can I say I'm proud of my country when it lacks in a majority of things. And the fact that I see so many nigerians like me flocking to europe, asia and north america for better living(despite the fact that we get threats from the native inhabitants to leave their land), reflects how problemed and ridiculous our country is. It's like the leaders can't be bothered to change the country

  • @biggsleezy u so so so right.

  • am sorry Bush came to Australia and bloody hell half the city was closed because of him.... so what exactly is wrong with this one? ahhh president of the people, being protected from the people... you forgot to say "By the People"

Leave him alone ... he is only being a president!

  • Mercedes Peugeot and Toyota show.

  • the higher the population, the harder it is to make a difference ... to dnt compare Nigeria to Ghana... look @ the USA 250 yrs old or so.. and they still have problems. so please lets not judge... even if we have a perfectly clean president he can not change Nigeria himself , it is the majority of the Nigerian people who need to change, change should come from the masses because it is the same people complaining that are ruining NIGERIA ...

  • Not every Body in Nigeria should be rich....Even In yankee(USA) and other countries guys still dey suffer....Thats life...The sooner y'all know the better...Things no dey easy for Yankee to.I can say this with confidence because i stay here..Just be grateful your Nigerian and your alive..

  • @BIGKAYiFICAtion Not everybody will be rich true talk but people should be able to live ok eat 3 times a day pay house rent.

  • @STREETMUSTSPEAK thats true tho

  • @STREETMUSTSPEAK Thank you o,we don't need to be rich individually , but all we need is the necessary facilities in Nigeria which i think we can never get until we speak out, if there should be any call for revolution we Nigerians are ready because enough is enough we have to stop celebrating what we call independent we are slaves to all our leaders, even animal are not been treated the way our leaders treat us

  • @BIGKAYiFICAtion do know what you are saying at all? who say every Nigeria should be rich,i also live in a country where 50 % are suffering, but every other thing around them is ok so they don't feel their poverty so much, look all we need in Nigeria is our leaders to do what they are there to do not to always seek after their personal profits, and just let our dear country have all the necessary facilities, we are been counted as one of d rich country,or are you one of them? 9ja nd to grow plz

  • @florence30400 yeah.... i guess u make enough sense... Good one.... u Should join the house of reps....hahaha

  • @BIGKAYiFICAtion that is not ur biz if i join or not ,but stop passing the impresson to Nigerians that they should be happy to be alive that Americans also surffer,am supraise we have people who can make such comment you did, please tell ur people we don't wan to be rich o,all we want is to be proud of our country 9ja

  • @florence30400 oh....kaaaaay... some one's getting all worked up.... Gosh!...Take it easy..... smh#....

  • @BIGKAYiFICAtion i guess you are on the lucky side,so you can smile to the conditoins of Nigerians, their cups will full soon because we are all fedup home and abroad

  • ur FATHER TO WHOEVER POSTED IT....MAKE PRESIDENT NO GET ESCORT ABI MAKE HIM USE LEG WAKA FOR ROAD WEN HUNGRY MEN LIKE U DEY VEX

  • @hagipcares4u

make the president make up his mind on the mode of transport, dem chop benz so leave jaki for suffer man

  • People looking at this thinks this the motorcade of the president of Nigeria. Its not! there are shit loath of other dignitaries from different part of the world and wealthy Nigerians. So, you people should shut up!!!

  • THE PEOPLE OF NGERIA ARE NOT HAPPY, EVEN ON THE SO-CALLED INDEPENDENCE DAY, . THEY CLAIM TO SPEND 17 BILLION NAIRA ON THE ANNIVERSARY, THE NIGERIA POPULATION IS JUST 150 MILLION PEOPLE, EVEN IF THEY SPEND 1 MILLION NAIRA TO FEED EACH CITIZEN OF NIGERIA, THE TOTAL AMOUNT SPENT WOUNT BE UP TO 17 BILLION NAIRA, KAI, NIGERIAN GOVT AND POLITICIAN, U GUYS SHOULD KNOW THAT WE ARE NOT FOOLS. WE ARE EDUCATED TOO. U NA DO WELL, 1 DAY, GOD ALMIGHTY , THE GOD THAT ASK ABACHA WILL ALSO LIBERATE US.

  • What the hell are talking about, Do you expect your President to be walking. The security isnt even enough go and see Obama's Security team or the Vice-President of UAE and you are here complaining. If you cant be objective in your thinking please bugg OFF. Ordinary Ghana's President there go and see now. You are here complaining. Bros Abeg O!! Dont do that

  • @omoniyi84

Ordinary Ghana? But UAE is not ordinary. Africans really have a problem!

  • What sort of stupid writing on the film. u are too foolish. just show the film we will make the comments, ass-hole!

  • you silly persons, ONE MAN, is that all? my friends go and sit down, lest you be accused of being hypocrites, if Goodluck Jonathan was your brother or family member we wont hear fmmm!! The curse of the Black man is his easy and ready accessibility by outsiders to be used against his own kind.

  • big blind country with nothing to show for their vast oil reserves except stupid, corrupt and greedy thiefs as leaders. Look at the faces of the people in the crowds, hungry and filled with despair, while these useless animals parade around in expensive motorcades after squandering billions of dollars in oil revenue, hopeless country!!

  • I am 100% black man a nationality born and race in nigeria. I have travelled abroad for better life and take care of my family. It is not proud to do so but Nigeria is a nation that give problem to other black nations because we tell them how black are corrupt, daft, stupid and not intellingent to love their brothers and sisters for better life. A country that build with love, always have everything to proud just like AMERICA,BRITAIN, EUROPE AND ASIA these countries are united and love the citizen

  • I truly ashamed of nigeria today because of our standard are too poor to other development countries. We have enough resources to make things better for our people and other black nations. Nigeria has the most blacks people in the world that is why we have many corruption and criminal people that squandered our money away back to the white countries. You can see how blacks are daft and stupid but always claim a wise people than white. Knowledge and understanding not belonging to the black people

  • Great britain couses a lot of trouble to africa continent for independent our nations at d wrong time. My reason are genuine bcs WHITE people are created with much POWER,WISDOM AND TECHNOLOGY to make the world better today. The British must have understand black people are daft, blind and not intelligent enough to make everything perfectly. For now you can see South Africa are 100%different to other black nations bcs white people stay so long time to develop the country b4 handing over to MANDELA

  • stop deceiving yourself. that point where the president can walk on the road is long gone. the ongoing threat of terrorism is on. plus he is meant to be a symbol of strength so im sure strenght isnt walking to a national day parade

  • hahaha,,,good president ? lol ,,,fools all ya,,, when he is eating all your meal you are saying good president,,,,,Lol,,,,,, where is the tax going to? the food? the oil money,,,,ask your selv that before saying bullshit

  • what are you guys talking about, this is a President of Nigeria, you dont expect him to go on a taxi because you want him to show he cares for his people, He is our President and he needs all the security that goes with the president office, please, take your time and search on youtube "Obama motorcade" you will discover that Jonathan's cars are not even upto half of the cars that follow Obama.

I think the comment made in this post was not necessary and is misleading. Please do your resaerch.

  • u need to upload this on facebook mr precedent is always there for him to see poeple r hungry no food hehe

  • What is it with this bad belle commentary?...What is wrong with celebrating 50 years of independence? And why can't the president have enough security personel? Or you wanted your terrorist friends like the fake MEND and Fake BOKO HARAM to have succeeded in your evil plans?.........God will not allow it and your evil propaganda will not work. GOODLUCK JONATHAN WILL BECOME PRESIDENT AGAIN COME 2011. PERIOD!

  • @pneumaforce Do you know the real problem with this picture?

In other democracies of the world, during their independence celebrations people are waving flags, singing songs, cheering the President, being Merry and obviously c e l e b r a t i n g!

Watch that video again, don't regard the commentary, in fact mute the video, what do you see?It is sad I tell you, still you find people in these comments who will defend what they have witnessed as a celebration. Sickening!

  • @purpleseyi I agree wholeheartedly,I dont have a problem with his entourage, but the bigger problem is the total indifference that these "politirickians" show towards the starving common man in Nigeria, all promises to no avail.Nigeria is sinking, while their pockets get fatter.and if they dont show us that they care,we will never cheer them.

  • Do people expect the President of Nigeria to be riding on a bicycle, the security he has is certainly befitting a President, and there is nothing wrong with it.

  • @brown9ja now if i told you that barack obamas motorcade only has 7 vehicles in it, would you believe me!

  • @brown9ja Utter rubbish you speak!!!!

  • @brown9ja I hope you never know someone whos body washes up the itlian / spanish coast after drowning at sea, from trying to flee poverty in africa. Cause then you might say.

Do people expect the poor and enslaved to just jump off a cliff and die, and many already have done just that.

The division between many human beings today is more than that between a birds and fish.

Dont respect sorrow of the poor, they wount hear your cries of terror when the time comes.

  • Sorrow, tears & blood - NUFF SAID !!!

  • SaharaReporters is loosing their brain bit by bit. Whats the point of this?

  • but i liked the video.

  • Comment removed

  • ??? i didnt get the point of your commentary inputs in the video... ALL COUNTRIES FROM RICHEST TO POOREST HAVE HEAVY SECURITY FOR ITS LEADERS. if you think that is alot of cars wait till you see presidents obama's convoy...and the majority of cars in the video are from other dignitaries and governors from nigeria and africa. not just Johnathan. do some research b4 posting. A large majority of corruption in nigeria are from the states/ local govs...and lesser amount comes from the fed.

  • @2rekles4u those cars are just for the president jare, look at you, we know what we are talkign about. the nigerian president arrived last, all other dignitaries have already arrived. along with the nigerian president are the taggers along like special adviser for this and that and all the other crap that people get paid lots of money to steal even more for. dont patronise us as if we dont know how it works. olofo

  • @pirell trust me all those cars are not all for the president ( Mercedes). the other non luxury cars are security personal for the president. trust me i know

  • @2rekles4u you dont know anything. those are the president entorage, thats all. and for a country that cannot afford to produce ONE of its own cars, that is way too many for one man. prime minister of UK travels with 4 cars maximum.

  • a waste of public money.

    yeye dey smell.

    failed country indeed.
