THE VINYLS-GET IT OUT OF YOUR HEAD

It'll only take 3mins and this band are AMAZING!

  • why does it look so damn old? it's only been 15 years

  • Live to trash > trash for Life.

  • Wow, never knew they were so good live, because back then didn't ever have the chance to see them live, not even on tv. Great song!

  • ええ曲やー

  • first song I heard from Suede and was hooked

  • Amazing performance! Brett voice is great.

  • beautiful

  • saw them in 96 too, they wer soo great. even better then oasis.

  • I'm in love with Neil *__*

  • neil nerd

  • Best live perforner ever. Saw him twice and loved it.

  • He's comming to Lima, Peru this June 11th. I hope he still having that wonderful voice.

  • yo ire!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • good perfomance - but it i think it was in brett's drugs days and it looks like he is on some kind of a trip

i love him and suede but he just looks really druged up (or drunk) in this video

  • fuck!

when Brett finally managed to sing that line ("Ah you and me yeah!") in the correct key in a live concert, Neil starts to sing WAY out of key and almost covers Brett's voice!!! fuck, he (Neil!) screwed the climax of the song...

STILL, one the best live perfomances of the song...

  • those were the days..

  • I bet the sound guy was hating that tamborine!

  • @remoman When they played acoustic at the xfm awards the other week i thought the same thing, i was stood behind the sound desk and it seemed to be quite an issue!

  • his voice was way out of key in lots of parts :{

  • yes that my be. though i'd rather see this concert, or a bad concert by blur, pulp etc than seeing an anticlimax concert by most of the bands these days. indierock bands aren't exactly what they used to be.

  • i agree, but pulp don't do bad concerts ;)

  • Questa performance credo sia avvenuta in Italia..

  • Way to make me feel old and i'm not even old

  • now that's something not only irrelevant and random but insignificant to all else xD

  • i think its a good performance tbh

  • london viva london

  • tremendo temaso!!!! este grupo es muy bueno...

  • amo esta cancion...amo a esta banda.

  • i love this song

  • brett loved heroin .fact

  • I think exactly the same.

  • i would love to be on stage singing high as fuck on heroin...good times.

  • really?do u know somethin i dont?

  • this is a hard song to perform live. impossible maybe. there's some kind of echo in the studio version which can't be done on stage. I like suede but to be honest, this one sucked ass. but then again, a concert is about more than just the sound.

  • the real problem is that in the record they use multi layer vocals in the chorus, so many "Brett"s would have to be singing at the same time. Also, the echo on the keyboard is really difficult to imitate. possibel, but really hard, indeed.

  • @sonicadv27 Awesome peformance.

Its always the same on records the lead singer does the overdubs which is not possible live unless you are miming like most wank groups these days.

Could get away with it with your band members where upto it.

Heard they are reforming for a one off gig hope it leads to more shows.

  • I salute Problembeing :)

Some live gigs sound..well terrible when recorded, but when you are on the crowd it´s pretty damn good. :D I wonder why is that?

I´ve seen Nirvana playing live -92.

  • adoro esta cancion"! me encanta.. me gustan sus demas canciones.. jajajaja bien por ellos canta muy lindo brett"!"!

  • To me this is 6*

  • I respect that, but also respect the fact I disagree with you :)

  • brett where r u now, lol

  • brett where r u now lol

  • ...Love the way he misses the mic at the start! Classic :D

  • Well, that was off! Serves Brett right for writing songs he can control in the studio but not pull off live. No wonder they split up, Brett's voice got fucked after all that helium induced singing.

Still, Suede were great in their heyday.

  • No wonder they split up?

Well, it took 10 years to split up.

You know shit about live gigs, do you?

    Or Suede.

    Go ahead..try me..

  • You're not suggesting they started splitting up as soon as they started are you? 10 years is a very long time to get acrimonious.

Come on, even Brett would agree with me. He was off his tits when he did this!

As for knowing shit about live gigs, well, I've done many gigs, including the Underworld in Camden, matey. Even I know a sound engineer couldn't fix Brett's voice.

Like I say, I'm a huge fan of Suede, so don't get all psycho fanatic with me, deary.

    ;)

  • PS. I was a Suede fan right at the start. I had to order the Drowners single from Our Price Records, and they hadn't a clue who I was on about.

  • what do you mean by "after all taht helium induced singing"? thanks

  • what do you mean by "all that helium induced singing"? thanks

  • ...Have you ever sucked on a helium filled balloon?

  • aaah, sure... and this helium in your voice remains for how long, you think? i'd say 10 seconds...

  • I love Brett's voice.All the time.

  • I love Brett's voice.All the time.

  • I love Brett's voice.All the time.

  • whats the point of perfect singing? thats what makes it more personal imo. the atmosphere is unbelievable, despite his few mistakes.if you want perfect, but plastic, try beyonce.

  • yes he is a bit off at places but that's what i like about live performances. the little sweet offs. beautiful man!

  • I love this,

  • ahhh great.

  • I wanted to be there <3

  • omg, so fucking great<3

  • J'aime Suede depuis leur première chanson, j'adore les écouter, ils me donnnent tant de plaisir ! Et Brett est si....désirable !!!!!

  • arena rock sound is shite. levels are off. his voice can't compete with that volume. but he actually does a pretty good job. of course the sound quality is not as good as studio.

  • we don't fuckin care about your underage teenagers!!!

altogether - saw suede on roskilde -94. nice but all that was visible was bretts white shirt :P

  • Not sure bout the singing...A- for effort?!

  • neil was so skinny...

  • Brett's runnin' out of breath hahaha!! but it was a lovely performance indeed.. I just love this band. Every single member is irreplaceable, especially Brett..

  • that one isn't good for them live.

  • Shite live band. Lets the song down.

  • Oh no they're not. I've seen a truckload of bands at the Brixton Academy, including a lot of metal/rock, but it was Suede who got the place jumping the most. Amazing live band with endless energy

  • I sense that you assume the live version has to sound *exactly* like the overproduced studio one. Dare to dream, I guess...

  • No. I expect the singer to be able to sing without the help of studio enhancements. Instrumentally, Suede weren't bad here, but the singer couldn't hold a tune which let's the song down in my opinion.

  • Brett doesn't have the strongest voice, granted, but that was probably at Reading, mind you (outdoor venue = harder). Click on the live version of Trash on Jools Holland '96, or at the Tivoli in Dublin, for his better live vocals...

  • No... being over confident on drugs I'd say.

  • great performance! why do all the good bands die?

  • amazing vocals from brett

  • Aaaah I love this one. Brett and Neil are both so incredibly hot and lovely etcetcetc. One of my favouritesongs.

  • Love the song, love the voice, love you BRETT!!!

  • i love this song :)

  • Very nice song. The live version of trash
