I beat both ruby and emerald by using pheonix paired with one of the blue materias. I forget which, but i think it was final attack. The one where if all the players die, it does the spell and revives everyone. I cant remember for sure because it was so long ago. I wish they wouldve made Sephiroth harder with a milli HP too since i killed him on my first try.

When you first go to the battle square, talk to the woman outside at the bottom of the stairs, she'll say something about liking strong people, and then win all 8 rounds, and go talk to her again, and she'll give you them. Also, you can win more of them in the chocobo races (rank S, possibly in Rank A but I don't think so). It's probably easiest to do this by just breeding your own black or gold chocobo, but it may also be possible to win them by betting, too.

You can actually one shot Emerald Weapon with Vincents Death penalty. Only you need to have 600,000-1,000,000 kills in order for it to actually work.

thank you sir.. I just followed this strategy and won.. wow. only difference i had only 1 sprint shoes on Cid , and gave Cloud all my sources (speed, power source, etc) before the fight. Same level as your Cloud.. definitely doable with a little luck in the beginning

Underwater materia is gotten from the Kalm traveler by morphing that ghost ship guy in the underwater reactor into some guide book or something.

Barret and Cait Sith weapons can be obtained when you air drop into midgar. You have to have barret in your party when you're climbing the cannon to get his. Cait Siths is in the shinra building in the lockers on the gym/resting floor.

you can get in later with the key from sector 5 or 6, whichever it is, that you can dig up in bone village. but i think you can only get barrets and cait siths ultimate weapons when you air drop in.

there might be some way to get them if you miss them, but you would have to check a guide for that.

@0BboyGod1 yuffie's is on that cliff of Gods in Wutai the same place where you get the Dragoon Lance for Cid. you should have Leviathan scales by now so go up to the fire that you could not pass before and the scales will react and you will extinguish the flames, and bam thats yuffie's weapon for you. if this didnt help you respond to this and i will do up a video for you :)

Wow, yeah, I did the grinding method... Final attack (mastered) + Phoenix (mastered), mime(mastered) and demi 3+ quad cast. Because he has one million HP demi 3 will do 9999 damage.

Emerald Weapon's strongest attack is Airitam(Materia spelled backwards) which will do around 12,000 damage(GAME OVER EVERYTIME!!!!!!!!) to every character no matter what their level is at the time of the battle(LUCK IS A MUST!!!!)

my brother and I (back in the day) used the final attack materia linked with the phoenix level 5 summon. now of course it took us a month or two to realize that you dont actually win the final attack materia from chocobo racing.. u just had to beat battle arena... anyway we had a gold choco that would do like 360 by the end of that crap. i remember ruby weapon being much harder.. we just used that octo materia with knights of the round and pretty much sat there for like 8 fuckin hours

My strategy was link KOTR with quadra magic and use it with w-summon tho the person that has that combo must have the hp mp swap materia cuz 999mp is not enough to casts it 8 times then you just mime it with the other character and walla, easy enough. Nice strategy anyway.

Kept Cid alive most of the fight to do KOTR. With him a live doing mimic it takes about 10-11 summons to kill Emerald.

I also had the double cut materia on cloud along with Apocalypse equipped so it got mastered in one battle. You could maybe do 3 materia but anymore at this level is pushing it.

Hahaa! xD My strategy was like yours only a lil better, to put Cid (My sacrificial character in party with Knights of Round materia used) with W-Summon Materia! Made him summon the knights twice, (only it worked just to summon him 1nce) and Cloud, who had Mime, Mimed it and summoned them 2wice! (And I had HP Plus Materia) this fight was fairly easy considerin it only took about 4 turns xD And I was lvl 68 :3

A better way and quick i found is feed Cid hero drinks for a good 5-10 mins then just use Highwind it ends up doing almost 9999 dmg everytime it hits and hits 12049u8234029783 times. Simple fight actually.

I tried ur method HC...it works but unfortunately when he did his air tame attack it took away 4444 damage(because i had final attack, pheonix, Hp Plus and mime)...then he hit me with a revenge stamp which took away 6000+ and killed me...but it also gave me an idea to equip mime and Hp Plus(it's mastered)....try your strategy again but add hope for lucky 7's from air tame

@reaputt thats the arie tam attack that hes using on you you have like two choices either use the method HC Bailey used where he only had like one or two materia per person at max or use the final attack materia (blue) and Pheonix (Red) materia as a combination that brings the user back and the rest of the party back alive assuming you have enough mp...practice with it first to see what i mean and then youll understand...that combo is the shit

@imthedj22 what you have to do is have the command materia W-Summon. the simply use Knights of the Round and then mime the shit out of it until he dies. an alternative is actually mastering it but then you still can't cast it consecutively
