We're an intelligent race but we advanced so fast that we are still subject to a few primitive activities, it's not our fault... for the most part, at least. I'm not one of those people who say 'humans are primitive', don't dare say I am one. My question is are you 100% for peace and love? Good luck finding that in 3rd world countries. After a universe stops expanding because of the gravitational pull atoms have on each other, it will start to collapse together again, to such a degree it will create a bang of such magnitude atoms will be under a pressure big enough to become "quarks", shapeless entities who will then begin to expand again from the resulting explosion. I figured you would say that, another drum people have beat the skin off of. No, it wouldn't have happened because the Baathists had everything locked down in a fascist regime. Once the regime fell and the US failed to secure borders a long with disbanding the army it left a huge vacuum for these 'mujahideen' to start waging war with the US in the name of anti occupation. Unfortunately these same fighters decided it was more effective to fight the civilians than the US to achieve their goals.

The 1 million number has been proven to be an exaggeration yet folks like you still cling to it... 100k is more accurate and the vast majority of those were killed by so called 'Iraqi Freedom Fighters'.
